I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I love the Spider-Man Unlimited suit. It basically takes the best elements from 2099 and Ben Reilly's Spider-Man suits. So happy to see it'll be popping up in "Across the Spider-Verse"

I wish the Unlimited suit showed up officially in Marvel's Spider Man, I would love to see what a more photo-realistic rendition of it would look like. Hopefully they would make it accurate too, keep the torn web cape ("that's direspectful!"), the yellow lens and seemingly black coloration in parts like the mask (which the PS1 version makes blue or red).

Technically you can see the “Kick Me” sign and the webs designs on the Dreamcast or PC version.

Ben Reilly's drip has always been unmatched.

Marvel had asked him to design the character so he took inspiration from the form-fitting suit that Olympic speed-skaters wore. Then he drew a hoodie over top of it, added some pouches and web-shooters and the Scarlet Spider was born.

Haha! I appreciate you specifically calling out the webless console version of Spider-Man. That is the correct take! Quick Change Spidey has always been my favorite alternate suit.

Some stuff you didn't mention about some of the suits The peter parker costume is a completely different model from the Peter Parker In-Game model in the character viewer. The costume is thinner, the legs and shoes are completely different, the torsos are completely different builds, and the face of the costume version is less detailed. Once you see these two side by side you can't unsee it Symbiote suit: The game fails to mention the costume's other power which is double damage. If you test the suit on enemies and bosses compared to the classic suit, you'll notice the damage difference Unlimited: The invisibility power is useless against bosses and they won't fall for it 2099: The health portrait for this suit has a unique animation where the eyes glow depending on where you point the camera. The dreamcast version also includes the forearm spikes, which is omitted in the ps1 version due to graphical limitations Classic Suit: The dreamcast version includes the web pattern and a whole different shaped mask. The ps1 version had to sacrifice the web pattern due to technical limitations. Enter Electro fixed the classic suit on the ps1 version by adding in the web patterns and underarm webs

You should have included the Spider-Armor. It might not be unlockable like the rest, but you can activate it at multiple points during gameplay, and if you limit damage can keep it for quite a while. I'd rank the silver and black somewhere in the 3-5 range.

I remember knowing frustration with this game, I played it for hours trying to beat it because my mother wouldn't buy me a memory card (my PS1 was second hand)so I couldn't save my progress, and everytime I got to a new area, something would happen and I would need to shut down the console and start again

The "Kick Me" sign on Amazing Bag Man's back is in the Dreamcast/PC versions of the game.

I like the classic suit in this game, I actually prefer the shade of red and blue in the scheme, it’s a balance of not being too saturated and desaturated.

The one thing this game brought to the table that I haven’t seen since, are the WEB GLOVES Yeah, they’re kinda goofy, but they’re also kinda classic, and a decent tool for spidey to utilize in combat. His webbing is strong, right? Could be used to deal damage to certain armoured enemies or something, but they haven’t touched the idea since

Spidery Unlimited is one of my favorite suits honestly. I just genuinely really like it

As someone who used to buy every comic that had symbiote character on the cover when I was a kid, I wholeheartedly agree with black costume being number one. There's a reason why that suit has endured for decades despite being originally intended only as a throwaway gimmick for the Secret Wars. 2099 is another favourite of mine, but I don't think the PS1 graphics do the costume justice.

Before I watch this. This is one of my favorite games of all time and a childhood classic. It does everything so well and captures the essence of Spider-Man. I love the graphics even though a lot of people hate on em now My favorites in this game are Ben Reily, Classic, Symbiote, and Scarlet with shout out to unlimited

The unlimited suit was definitely my favourite. Using the stealth ability was so much fun to mess with the enemies.

I don't think I did a full 100% all costume run since early 2002 leading up to the first Raimi film. Beating it on hard was a feat.

My Favorite suits from the PS1 spidey game is Scarlett Spidey mostly because of the DIY look , i love Spidey 2099 because it reminds a little bit of Batman Beyond , I really love The Ben Reilly suit ( I'll admit i started reading spidey as a kid during the clone saga & the last 2 episodes of the 94 animated series costume) i love the Symbiote Spidey suit mostly because of the 94 animated series and Captain universe because its such a weird fun concept from the comics i unlocked Captain universe on Lego Avengers

This was great, thank you! I thought the Phoenix suit would be on here. Is that from the sequel? Its extra high jump ability was more a pain in the @$*^# for me than useful. Ben Reilly -- the original and original costume -- was very cool indeed.
