never seen the glee project? check out the description! I did remove the Season 2 Episode 10 group number “Perfect” because it wasn’t a traditional group number and basically just a movie trailer so it doesn’t fit in. Also just a note for this if you are not aware Tyler now uses They/hir pronouns and Dani now uses They/them/he pronouns

Ooof I remember how they made them do Eye of the Tiger in 1 take and it took like 13 hours to get it right.

Yep they literally nearly killed them, and even in the end they had to massively simplify the ending because it took that long

When the episode "Tenacity" in season one came out I was only fifteen, and I remembered I was very excited of how well done the "Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure" mash-up was made. My happiness wasn't for too long because my favorite contestant, Marissa, was eliminated. What a nostalgia. TwT

Seeing Alex, Lindsay, and Ali thriving now is the one thing that makes this less infuriating lol. But haven't heard anything about Aylin so I'm still pissed about S2

That transition from Teenage Dream to Mad World is so perfect! I may not have watched the show, but the line they open the Mad World segment with is just haunting!

Too much, unfortunately. The writers/creators of Glee were already losing steam, and you could tell the only thing they could think to do with her is make her another Rachel, which would have sucked. I think Wicked/Broadway is a much better use of her talent, honestly.

Lindsey and Alex. Although as much as I love Alex, Lindsey was 100% better than him back then as while Alex's range and power was still hella impressive, his tone wasn't the best back then.

I'm willing to wager they already had a character in mind and just needed someone to fill it. You have to admit, "Bland White Cis Guy that can act" is much easier to write for than "Muslim Girl" or "Girl in Wheelchair", which is what they would have been reduced to.

@@rachelranderson I do actually think that true and partly why Michael and Charlie lasted what I thought was a little too long (Michael not being bottom three during the week Shanna went is so sus in my opinion). Then at the second to last week when Michael was eliminated Blake had already won. Sam winning the first series was definitely a direct result of Cameron quitting and the character written for Cameron being Joe having very little to do with Sam other than the constant references to dreads.

What? Blake was the clear star of the bunch, he was the deserved winner lol. Ali and Aylin were great, but they were not as versatile as Acting wise, he can literally play any role, and ultimately that’s what carried him through. Not to mention he was the most consistent week after week. I’ve gone back and watched in recent years to confirm this. Aylin was off many weeks and was easily distracted. She wasn’t ready. Ali was great, but she wasn’t right for the show, hence why Blake won. His Eye of the Tiger performance alone was something to behold. He had by The hardest part in the video and didn’t mess it up once or complain.

I love TGP. Eye of the tiger is one of my favorite performances of season 2. I loved that episode of tenacity My Favs S1: Damián & Marissa. S2: Nellie & Michael

The absolute worst is during the Raise Your Glass video where all the eliminated contestants each say a really awkward and cringe line shoved in between the finalists singing the verse. Matteus just going “Cool cool cool” randomly makes me physically uncomfortable 😂

Lindsay was WAAYYYY too good for this show. They really had to find flaws for her cause she was already perfect in every area. Also, what i find ironic is that the things the show criticized Lindsay for are just a portion of the things that Lea Michele used to do backstage.

How I see it: 23) "U Can't Touch This" - The version in Season 1 was better... 22) "Party Rock Anthem" - This song sucks... 21) "Firework" - The Season 2 version is way better (as is the original)... 20) "Price Tag" - Fair enough, not a great song... 19) "Everybody Hurts" - Closer to the 1992 original... 18) "Lady Is A Tramp" - The Season 1 version was better... 17) "Here I Go Again" - This is a garbage version of a 1980s rock classic... 16) "Nowadays" - The Season 2 version is better... 15) "Sing" - The Season 2 version is better... 14) "Baby It's Cold Outside" - On par with the version from Season 2... 13) "Moves Like Jagger/Milkshake" - WTF were they thinking? This mash-up sucks... 12) "Raise Your Glass" - Fair enough... 11) "When I Grow Up" - This song sucks... 10) "We're Not Gonna Take It" - Another garbage version of a 1984 rock classic... 9) "We Found Love" - The Season 3 version (and the original) is better... 8) "Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure" - This mash-up works (because the two songs have the same piano and bass line)... 7) "Teenage Dream" - Fair enough, the Season 2 version was better... 6) "Mad World" - Great choice... 5) "Tonight Tonight" - This song sucks... 4) "Don't You Want Me" - The Season 2 version is better... 3) "Eye of the Tiger" - A great re-invention of the 1982 classic... 2) "Hit Me With Your Best Shot/One Way Or Another" - The Season 3 version was better... 1) "The Only Exception" - The Season 2 version was better...

The Edge Of Glory, Price Tag, Like A Virgin, Everybody Hurts, Mad World, Lady Is A Tramp, Under Pressure, Milkshake, and Bad Romance are really nice. They did a good joob.👍🏻 I wish they had Naya singing Milkshake. It would have been awesome. 🥰 Eye Of The Tiger duet with Kevin and Blake would be a dream 🥺 Baby Its Cold Outside was way better than Darren and Chris 😵 Raise Your Glass was terrible 🤢 Firework sucked just like Lea's version lmao😂

How come “Everybody Hurts” is so low? That performance is fantastic! Also, I think you are missing “Edge of Glory”

Edge of Glory is from episode 0 and because of that I don’t have the footage unfortunately in a high enough quality so I just excluded it as it didn’t effect the competition, Everybody Hurts had Mario being assaulted in the final video which doesn’t sit right with me. That 100% should have been cut and just use a different take. Also It’s the only time it seems someone doesn’t actually get a solo in the group number (Abram voice is a little louder than everyone else’s in the chorus but he really should have been given a solo line and it’s not really fair to him)

Done first by Glee: 1. U can’t touch this 2. Firework 3. Lady is a tramp 4. Nowadays 5. Sing 6. Baby it’s cold outside 7. Raise your glass 8. Moves like Jagger 9. We found love 10. Ice Ice Ice Baby 11. Teenage Dream 12. Don’t you want me baby 13. One way or another/hit me with you best shot 14. The only exception Done first by TGP: 1. Everybody hurts So yeah most if the songs were on glee first, mostly done to save money buying the rights. This is super obvious in the last chance performances too where 30+ of them had been sung on a glee before

Season One was Great 10/10. Season Two the casting was just all wrong. I mean Blake was the only actual professional screen actor of the entire group. They needed more of a healthy mix between pros and amateurs.

omg i used to watch this when i was 12 and the teenage dream group number (the lindsay and damian one specifically) woke so many things in me 😭 i love season 1 so much even though everyone prefers s2 ps. looking back i wish they hadn't tried to sexualize nellie so much. Ryan murphy you're a weird ass man.
