Yes the slingshot might have slightly more range, but the club ranks way higher imo because it doesn’t require ammunition and is easy to repair, you can repair it quickly on the go, and it scales with melee damage absurd degrees. Go get a mantis and put an ascendant club on it. It will change your life

I appreciate how honest this channel is with Ark. Ark is clunky and flawed af, and isn't designed for PVE, and someone covering those flaws and genuine tips is refreshing

Boomerangs are still useful in later stages. You can trap a lv150 Rex/Yutyrannus and knock it out with 5 boomerangs, save you a ton of tranq arrows. Boomerangs break randomly but way less often than spears.

I keep forgetting most of the Tek Weapons even exist. One thing I disagree with is the Crossbow coming before the Compound Bow. If we leave the metal arrows out (because they are shit expensive anyway), I would always prefer the crossbow simply for the fact that you can use it underwater. Also the chance of getting a crossbow of a higher tier is so much better than getting a good Compound bow. Like I get a non-primitive crossbow from almost any Alpha. A better "all-rounder" which is the most useful for PVE in my opinion. With that said, keep up the good videos!

You can actually use the club with mantis, especially a high damage club with high damage mantis, it deals a ton of torpor so useful for KO creatures

I never used the fabricated pistol much in ASE, but I've gotten over 6000 advanced bullets from drops in ASA on The Island and 2000 on SE. A 298 fabricated pistol does decent damage and is fun. 298 Shotgun is the king, but I don't get much ammo from drops. So shotgun ammo I craft.

I think the reason the mammoth disappeared after you shot it with the rocket is because if a creature just spawns in, and it dies before a certain amount of time alive, (I think it's about 5 seconds) it won't have a death animation or corpse, and will just disappear.

Cruise missile is just cool. It's a way end game weapon just because it's fun to play with. As for the club I think it's super useful for what it is intended for. It has no purpose past getting tranq arrows. It's for getting you started. As soon as I drop in I go directly to unlock and make a club and knock a handful of small carnivores like Dilophasaurs out and tame them as guard dogs to watch my back, then an early game mount (or maybe just look for a Maschops). Then I throw the club away because you never need it again.

An ASA Player's perspective. -That Tek Grenade Launcher will be great for taming a Fasolasuchus! -Even though we don't have nets here yet, the Harpoon Gun is still top tier on my list. I even use it to tame land and air creatures too. When you get used to its range(a bit heavier than an arrow) it feels just like a Crossbow to use but with higher torpor per shot than an equal % Longneck and you can retrieve Spear Bolts to swap to to use for defending or to turn back into a tranq. A Former ASE Player's notes. -An argument for the Minigun. I get a lot of 9s from the loot crates and barely ever use them except to lower the effectiveness on level 5s I wanna keep 0s on. The excess could easily be used for the Minigun. -Tek Sword: Flying Stab is an extension of Tek Glove: Flying Punch, Without the gloves equipped, that ability is unavailable.

Cattle prod has a use! And that use is KOing tribemates unexpectedly lol.

the tech rail gun is special because it can shoot though wall rocks an terrain, unless they have change it, but the dmg have never really been good, but pump-action is the way to go for dmg compare to cost both in ammo an durability.
