@@PetroleumJellyJuggernaut in the manga, yes you’re correct. But in the TYBW anime, we aren’t ever shown him dying or even a body that matches his. Additionally, his conversation before he dies with Liltotto is cut and instead she’s shown helping Meninas when the Aushwallen occurs. So until we get confirmation, he’s not out of it yet. In fact, we don’t see ANY sternritter outright die from the holy selection in the anime. Only soldadt soldiers. Senjumaru’s bankai and the entire squad zero fight played out differently too. So the manga really doesn’t have all the answers for how the anime will play out.

@@PetroleumJellyJuggernaut bro, why are you even arguing this on Tommo’s channel of all things. He shares this exact same opinion and has multiple videos on how he doesn’t think it’s the end for Robert since they changed so much around with the events surrounding when he was supposed to have his death scene. There’s no reason to not at least show him, or the other sternritter’s deaths during Aushwallen if it’s going to play out exactly the same as the manga. Robert even got a sclaverai form that he didn’t have in the manga along with 4 other characters. So it shows they’re at least thinking of and considering new things involving his character.

I assume Mr. Tommo wasn't including Uryu as a candidate for the list, I know he's talked quite a bit about BG9 recently but it'd be very odd for him to like Uryu less than BG9.

@@gorade1901 Well, it is my own list. Uryu is/was still a Sternritter. Mr Tommo can choose to exclude Uryu, but if he didn't, it's an obvious no. 1. I've included an honorable mention that'd be number 11 (or 10 if excluding Uryu), so you still get who'd be my otherwise #1 pick anyway (Haschwalth).

Pernida deserves more love. One of the coolest and most creative villains and fights in the series. Askin, Bazz, and As Nodt are probably my top 3.

I can't be the only one who thinks As Nodt looks like something out of AOT right? Like, even in his original form, he just reminds me of something from AOT, then he goes titan mode.

I wish I understood the Cang Du love, but at the end of the day, Kubo just didn't do much with him. If not even the anime chose to rectify that problem, then I just have to assume Kubo never had further plans for his character (or BG9 for that matter).

It's possible I just missed something, but I checked through the 1st Quincy invasion in the manga recently to see what the hype was about and he's hardly even in it. He gets matched to Toshiro, steals his Bankai, the majority of the fight is off screen, he shows up at the end of Bazz-B's fight just to lose, and then he's executed. What I will give him is he has some cool lines that portray him as more respectable than other members, that's all I got though. His power doesn't leave an impression on me either.

Yeah right? Bazz B even ridiculed him for losing lol. If he had a close fight with hollowfied Toshiro, and had shown more of his personality, it'd be a different story. But as of now, I don't see why he's relevant or loveable in the slightest. It's like making a top 10 Bleach characters list and putting Don Kanonji in there. He was great comedic relief and had shown more bravery than Cang Du but he barely has any screen time and no impact on the story

To me he's nothing special...all he does is stealing toshiro bankai only to lose it in their next encounter. The only special thing he did was surviving his own execution for a couple seconds.

The one thing i don’t like about the quinces is that we never figured out KG9 or Robert’s schrifts, which kinda bugs me but im inclined to believe that Kubo did that because he ran out of ideas (just my speculation but other than that the sternritters are PEAK)

My Top 10 favorite sternritters 10. AsNodt - character design, creepy schrift 09. Askin - This is how Aizen looks like when he became a stand-up comedian 😅😅😅😅😅 08. Lille - One shot, one kill (sniper, my favorite role/weapon of choice when playing FPS games) 07. Bazz B - looks like Grimmjow's quincy version to me 🤣 06. 05. 04. 03 - Bambi Girls 😅😅😅❤ - additional Bleach waifus. 02. Gremmy - his hax can overturn any result of the match (even better than Gerard's miracle IMO), too bad, he's too retarded and arrogant to use this schrift efficiently and probably the reason why he wasn't included in Schutzstaffel. 01. Haswaltch/Uryu - Their schrifts are perfect counter against extreme hax such as Gerard's miracle and maybe Gremmy's schrift.

The sternritter as a concept was an incredible execution, pun not intended? But seriously, most shonen have a "one power gimmick" at this point, but each schrift is beautifully done. Some are literally unwinnable, bad or desperate desperate decisions needed to be made to stop them (The Miracle, The Superstar, the Zombie)
