It's a celebration! Our PlayStation podcast-that-could has reached its 200th week of existence, which of course means its 200th core episode is here. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, we decided to do thing proper-like, renting out a famous theater in Richmond, Virginia entertainers much more talented than us typically play, and recording live in front of 400+ fans. The topic? PlayStation 4's 25 best games -- ranked! -- based on a combination of our individual lists, as well as the audience's. The results are going to be controversial, of course, but we were wise enough to mathematically split things up in such a way that you have yourselves to blame just as much as us. Such is the way of life with Sacred Symbols: A PlayStation Podcast. Thank you for your support. Here's to the next 200.

Watching this late, but man Chris Ray Gun just has a natural charisma to him live. You don't see that very often with podcast creators, but he eats up the room like a stand-up comedian. He was so hilarious.

One thing I love so much about this video is knowing that there are definitely people in that venue that aren’t into games. Significant others, friends, family, that are there by association. And getting a first hand look at how eloquently games can be spoken about might make a couple of them at least rethink there position on games. Which is something I wish I could get a lot of my family to do. Lol. So I just think that’s cool. Cheers to the medium as a whole.

Been watching this guy since 2009-ish. It was just a treat to see him move around the stage and interact with people and at the end,standing there,thanking everyone,including his family and significant other, after some tough times,and still at the top of his game. what a great, short and sweet show.

One major thing that worked so well (and was unexpected) was the way it started like a normal SS podcast. The music, that intro, the standard welcome line by Colin…. It gave me goosebumps. You’ve nailed a format right there. Simply do the podcast LIVE. I wouldn’t even bother making a theme or specific idea. Just do the usual stuff live now and again. E.G, go through the news, discuss, comments etc. That’s the beauty of these; getting to see you do it live. Oh and I love it when Colin stands and does little bits talking and looking at the crowd. Such as that intro. You’ve got it Colin, just look into the crowd a little more. You’re a showman, seriously.

It’s so funny to think that not too long ago, Colin was in a very… interesting position after leaving a company he helped found. He has beaten the odds and, imho, has developed a well respected brand that is of his own vision. I’ve been with him since his days at IGN and have followed him wherever he’s decided to take us. Congrats to him and the rest of the LSM team.

Every time Dustin stood up I was exited to see his reaction to the games he’s passionate about. This was great. Thanks so much for filming it and for the good audio quality throughout. I'm actually kinda surprised that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt didn't make the cut. This was a great list, though. There are some games on there that I missed, and I definitely need to check some of them out. Many others that were on the list, though, were some of my favorite modern gaming sxperiences. Some other games I loved from last gen which didn't make the cut are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hitman, Superhot, Batman: Arkham Knight, Days Gone, Jedi: Fallen Order, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I'm just getting back into Last Stand Media content after being gone for a while, and I'm so glad I came back. I can't believe I almost forgot how much I enjoy your back-and-forth and how much it brightens my day. I've been following Colin's work off and on for ages, and I'm glad to see that he and this awesome group of guys are doing well.

I havent owned a Playstation since PS2 and haven't played a single Playstation Exclusive. I watched a let's play of Last of Us 1/2 and Uncharted 4 but beyond that my knowledge of Playstation exclusives and games are zero. Yet I for some reason find myself listening to this podcast every week. I think it's the chemistry of the hosts and the knowledge with what they speak about that keeps me coming back. Congrats on the live show and maybe one day I'll download one of the playstation exclusives on PC.

SO happy to see Nier Automata, MGSV, DOOM Eternal, DMCV, Horizon - all of which are some of my favourite games of all time. I also agree with the other games and I was SHOCKED to see Destiny 2! But pleasantly surprised. Also, this event looked so fun. The intro videos were genuinely amazing. It's so great to be a LSM fan right now.

10 of my top 25 made it so super happy about that, some of my top rated games that missed I wanted to give shout outs to. Witcher 3, Infamous Second Sun, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Batman: Arkham Knight, Shovel Knight, Guacamelee! 2, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. RDR 2 was my number 1 as well, my god, such an amazing game, so many great games, such a great console, so many great memories over the years. Last Stand has never been better, keep it going guys!

The video and sound on this looks really well done. A cool list, and happy to say I've played a fair few of the top 25 and plat some of them. And a few to look into that I've had in the backlog or never thought to look at, Undertale, etc. One for Dustin, you can go all the way to 120fps on Uncharted 4 (mentioned 60fps on the video) and Doom Eternal on their PS5 versions (mentioned best on PC), likewise DMC5 up to 120fps vrr on.

There are a few moments where Colin’s exasperated verbal mannerisms in response to the audience sound exactly like fellow Long Island son Colin Quinn. It’s delightful.
