No anime filler to stretch the time out and make it seem like Yamcha couldn't break out from its hold there (which he 100% could have if it were that slow to Self-Destruct). I know it's a life or death brawl, so rules are thrown to the wolves, but people taking that as a Saibaman > Yamcha feat, or even a Saibaman ~= Yamcha feat, also have to then say that Yajirobe > Great Ape Vegeta because he cut off his tail and reverted him to normal and that Semi-Perfect Cell > SSJ grade 4 Goku because Goku was killed by his SD.

I always got confused at why bardock gets the flashes to the namek saga when he dies before but turns out he just kinda got gifted premonition powers on one of his excursions by a local on some planet I'm pretty sure the frieza force then destroyed. My crack fan theory is still that he passed this power down to goku and it mutated and melded with his god ki and manifested as ultra instinct. I know it doesn't work like that, i just like the thought of it!

Since Nano seemed to be wondering, yes, James Marsters plays Zamasu in FighterZ (and I’m pretty sure all games he appears)

Because Jiren had no personality whatsoever, only existing to be a "wall" for Goku to overcome. And then they decided to give him one near the end of the arc, turning him from a stoic guy who does care about justice to a pompous asshole who has no respect for anyone weaker than him, including his teammates, and wants to use the Super Dragonballs to bring back his dead master because of some cliche "I lost my loved ones" backstory. And then he throws away what little principles he has left and takes a shot at Goku's friends when he starts getting beat. He was at least kinda cool when he was boring, but their attempt to make him an actual character just made him an unlikeable one. The manga at least handled him better by fleshing out Jiren, his master, and their relationship as well as the Value of Teamwork lesson the latter wanted his student to learn.
