Ranking the 8 Free Decks in PTCGL for 2024

The 8 free decks given to all players in Pokemon TCG Live (both old and new) for 2024 and the first few months of 2025 are Charizard ex, Chien-Pao ex, Gholdengo ex, Giratina VSTAR, Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR, Lugia VSTAR, Mewtwo ex, and Roaring Moon ex!

Looks like the Ranked changes aren't happening until Thursday.

@@TrustYourPilotTCG right, just played a match and nothing seems to have changed, same with ranks. Makes sense considering current season ends in 2 days

I have to cover H. Zoroark Vstar now. The Xatu engine is a little nerfed due to fog crystal rotating, but I think it can still hold.

Typically it's just the Premium Battle Pass decks that convert to Credits, not the free free ones.

So, do we get these cards for free as well? As in, can we customise these, or can the cards only be played exclusively within the decks provided

I believe they will add the cards to your library and have these decks pre-made to be edited

They add all the cards to your account, and you can use them all however you like. The 8 decklists in this video are just default decklists to get players started. You can edit those decklists in-game, or delete them and use the cards for something else.

Question: this is my first rotation on PTCGL, so do you get credits for duplicate cards from these free decks? If so, that would be great, as I already have most of these decks built.

I'd say it's doubtful. The only times you get Credits from free decks is on the Premium Battle Pass.
