KTC H27T22 UPDATE: Some people are receiving a different version of the H27T22 that's using a different panel (from Innolux vs the original by AUO). KTC confirmed to me that the H27T22 now comes with either of these two panels, both versions coming in the same brown box. I don't know yet how the new version performs, so my review and the S-tier ranking only apply to the original AUO version! I urged them to choose a different name for the new Innolux version.

I would ask you to clarify that the KTC H27T22 monitor you reviewed is not the same as what people can buy now in the shop under the same brand. You, like many others on KZfaq had AUO M270DAN08.2 matrix, but it was quickly replaced by a more budget Innolux M270KCJ-Q7E (has 2 HDMI outputs). So when suggesting people to buy KTC H27T22 it would be fair to point out that the manufacturer has long since changed the matrix on these models and the image quality is already different.

I've been using Dell S2721DGF that's not in your list (165 Hz, 1440p, 1ms) for the past two years. It is a bit on the expensive side, but has been serving me well with no issues, connecting my work laptop at day and gaming in the evening (around 12-15 hours of usage daily). I do light video editing but I'm not a professional so colour accuracy is not of importance to me. My only gripe with it is the stand - I wish it was either flat or had "legs" instead of curved platform. Minor nitpick, easily fixable by mounting the monitor on the arms.

The Innocn 27g1s is over $400 on Amazon, and the listing it previously pointed to is now a 144hz IPS panel monitor, and their own website now lists it as a 144hz monitor in the specs and subtitle, despite a picture of a 240hz monitor. Now, I don't know how much of that is being in the US vs Europe, a mix up on their end, or what, but it feels difficult to trust. I also worry about the color accuracy of a VA panel over IPS, though honestly I'm sure I'd be happy with any of the S, A, or B tier monitors over what I have. I think I'll aim for one of the IPS panels just due to the VRR issue you mentioned, as that's my biggest desired use case of VRR in the 150FPS range.

Could you maybe do a video covering setup and use of an OLED screen? I see lots of questions with people not knowing how to use Windows 11 HDR (leave it constantly on or toggle it on/off of for specific games), auto-HDR, tips for protecting against burn-in, clear-type fonts on/off etc. Could be interesting with the boom in OLED gaming screens. I get the feeling many are not impressed by their OLED purchases as they're using them incorrectly or have the entirely wrong user case.

240hz IPS 1440p monitors are too expensive I feel, and not worth the extra money. 34" 3440x1440 QD-OLED 175hz monitors have been coming down in price a lot recently. For example I can get a Philips Evnia 34M2C6500/00 for 6990NOK which is a QD oled monitor which is a much better monitor than any 240hz QHD IPS monitor. And I would say it is more value for the money as well, In comparasion the cheapest QHD 240hz+ monitor costs 4390NOK. The refresh rate is a little bit lower but a OLED monitor is smoother at the same refresh rate compared to a IPS monitor.

I want to add a topic. Many PC gamers are missing out on a better image quality when they have a good rig or one that can run games PS5 and Series X equally but playing on 1080p or 1440p monitors. There is also a myth that 1080p or 1440p look worse on a 4k monitor but that is wrong because those games look better on the 4k display due to much better pixel density on a similar size. Pixel density is what matters more than many think. The best thing is 4k 28 inch and 4k 32 inch but 32 is almost too large up close, especially for shooter and 1st person games.

One dead pixel, a brighter (circular) area of pixels in the middle of the screen which was very noticeable and annoying, significant gamma shift to which I'm not used afer 7-8 years of continuous use of IPS monitors, and an unusable and bugged RGB mode which just turned the picture colors into their negatives for some reason, completely broken... Sadly the recommendation for the ktc monitor seems a bit out of date, because in many countries including here in Germany you seem to be more likely now to get a revision with a different panel (Innolux M270KCJ-K7E), I am pretty bumped because I bought it precisely because of your recommendations and the new one seems to have lower contrast, they also still advertise it on Amazon for having the AUO panel. I think the Dell G2724D is the best value 1440p monitor on the market at around £250-£300 and regularly can be found cheaper. I bought mine on sale at £209 couple of months ago It has all the specifications a gamer needs like 165Hz, 1ms response time, G-Sync, Freesync, various response time modes and preset modes. It also has decent HDR and brightness In my opinion the best two things this monitor has are HDMI 2.1, which isn’t the full 48Gbps bandwidth, but still at 24Gbps it’s still an HDMI 2.1 worth having and also almost NO ghosting even in extreme response time mode I’m a console gamer on PS5 and I get to have VRR with the HDMI 2.1 and it’s a great monitor

I'm currently looking at the AW2723DF and the LG 27GR83Q-B both of which I could get at the same price. The Alienware model is one I'm quite interested in. Would this be a good choice?

Do you have any plans on reviewing some lenovo monitors? I'm looking specifically at the Y27q-30, but I've been searching everywhere and it seems that there are no english reviews whatsoever. nor for the Y27h, or any other models from this series of monitors. From the specs it looks like a decent monitor, but specs can be deceiving.

Have you heard about Aoc Q27G3Z? It has an Innolux D7B panel which should be better than the IPS rating. In my country, this panel is now very praised, because we have started to produce a line of monitors using it for less than $300. But this is an unknown company, I was looking for an analogue for the D7B and found only AOC Q27G3Z. But I couldn't find any reviews.

Perhaps you are familiar with the Dell G3223D? There aren't many reviews for this monitor, but for the price it looks great. Maybe you know something about it or maybe there are owners of this monitor here who can share their opinion. I would appreciate it.

I ordered the KTC H27T22 a couple days ago, and after getting it and opening the product, it wasn't even what was specified. I hope that was a freak accident and not the norm, but getting a 2160 60hz monitor after ordering that monitor because of all of the wonderful things i've heard was dissapointing.
