Another boba idea I’ve had/wanted to do for years was a blind taste test for all these different boba shops and chains (if you havent already thought/done this already). Either ranking or guessing where the drink’s from! (Prob classic Milk Tea w/ boba?) Don’t exactly have the funds to execute it (and trying to cut back on sweets rn hahah); would love to see how you do though!! ❤️

Hey meimei, just wanted to give you a strat for your boba. you can add white sugar like you would salt for pasta when boiling your boba, it helps make it sweet all the way through. love your content and have been watching for a while. thanks for all the content and hope your boba content reaches others like it has me. 😁

Totally agree with the majority of your rankings!! Also super agree with tiger sugar! I think all the hype actually hurt it - I find it just okay as well but nothing that I crave, especially in Cupertino where there are better places so close by. I also remember loving Kung Fu Tea back when I lived in Chicago and it was the only "decent" boba place in Chinatown or really anywhere near me. Boy has the boba scene come so far now. On an off note - please come try Sunright Tea Studio in Sunnyvale! It's their first location in Norcal (I think). I think you'd enjoy it based on how you've ranked the others in this video. Warning though - it's super sweet so I tend to get only 25% for their milk teas and their honey boba is actually a white/clear boba so get the brown sugar boba.

I love your ranking for boba shops in the Bay Area! I’m from San Diego but currently live in the Bay and the Kung fu tea down there is 100% better than the one in the Bay for sure and the KFT in Vegas is even better. But yeah totally agree with you for Tastea and Fengcha! Also I’ve had Tiger Sugar in Hong Kong and it’s 10000% better than in Cupertino so probably that’s why it’s hyped! I thought it would be the same here but it’s not 😢 and yesss I LOOOVE TP Tea! Fave boba shop in the bay hands down🙌🏽

Definitely agree with TP Tea and Xing Fu Tang being in the key to happiness tier, but I've yet to try Happy Lemon and The Alley 😩😩 KFT isn't the best but it was one of the first boba places I ever went to so I think I like it because of the sentimental value lol Everyone go check out meimei's glass straw so you can enjoy your boba in an environmentally friendly manner!!

I've just been to Chatime, Gong cha and some other ones in the UK like Ohayo tea and ICFT, I like chatime the best because their drinks aren't too sweet. I want to try happy lemon and Yi Fang next. I like the way Chatime has an app to order, I wish more bubble tea shops had an App and loyalty points.

Quickly is bizarre. Back when I lived on the other side of the country and options were sparse, I'd go now and then. 1/2 of the time I left with a decent drink w/ perfectly good boba- acknowledging that the tea itself is nothing special. The other 1/2 of the time it tasted like a Yankee Candle product. X-D

I love ChaTime and Ten Ren Tea as they have both given me the boba fix that I've needed with both great taste and the texture of the boba was wonderful! I haven't been to too many chains as there was a ChaTime right behind the bus terminal in Toronto and I could usually go there with enough time before needing to catch my connecting bus! I tried one in some mall in TO that I don't remember the name of and it was okay. It was enough to get me to search for other chains LOL! I tried Ten Ren Tea in Missisauga, ON a few summers ago and it satisfied my boba craving perfectly. I neeeeed to buy a boba tea kit because I'm having serious withdrawals LOL.

Yeah I haven’t really found the shortage to be an issue! I heard it’s only a problem for boba guys & teaspoon and shops that source boba from their factory. Besides that I think all the boba shops are doing fine, but with all the panic, it caused the boba suppliers to increase the price which puts a strain on the local shops 😞

I moved back to Toronto this month and I have been ordering boba almost every day now, and you have given me so many new places to try LOL. I find that coco isn't that great either and really expensive. I tried Yifang today and so far it is my favourite! my first time trying sharetea tasted like vomit LOL, maybe I ordered a bad flavour! Now I am really excited to try Xing fu tang and TP teaaaa

I so agree with Tapioca Express and Quickly. I went to those places a lot in middle school but imo they're like the McDonald's of boba. I also agree that the francises vary. Like I've been to Ding Teas and T4s that taste great and some that are not so great. I love TenRen because the tea really does shine through. Where is The Alley? I've tried to find them but they seem to only be in SoCal?

In Australia, I think Sharetea is the most affordable one with consistent quality. I always order on EASI so I can get a pickup discount, what would've been $8.40 AUD would cost me $4.54 after the discount. Used to go to Gong Cha a lot when I first started drinking boba, but then I thought Sharetea was way better. Chatime always has very hard boba out of all the times I've been there, so I would never order boba as a topping. Taste wise, The Alley is definitely my go to, I love their brown sugar fresh milk with dalgona coffee and their ube fresh milk

Tbh even though I frequent Kung Fu Tea I always have to order with no added sugar, their drinks are just too sweet otherwise 😖. Idk if that's a boba drink thing or just a KFT thing. With that being said I love their rosehip tea.

I completely agree about Kung Fu Tea! We have one in Modesto, but the tea always tastes chalky to me. It's just not that great. I go to a place called Tea Daze that is much better.
