Trivia. When Mario jumps on Bowser prior to meeting Tolstar, the coins that pop up are actually to the player. This is to prevent the player from having 0 coins to give to Tolstar, which would otherwise be possible by running away from enemies until the player is out of coins in the original game.

I would put pillo castle at number 1 but the tutorials ruin it. But I do think the music in pillo castle is amazing. Btw you should rank the forest areas at some point

That’s a Nice list! Here’s mine. Not counting PJ since I haven’t played that one. 5: Holli Jolli Village ( this is weird, since PiT is my favorite. But, this area feels like such a drag. The tutorials are unnecessarily long. But, the two saving factors are the Shroob Fight, and the depressing Music ) 4: P’illo Castle Underground ( This area is pretty unmemorable for me. It’s just a boring underground starting area. But still with a decently cool backdrop. ) 3: Cavi Cape ( this area is boring in perspective, but then you remember you get to play as friggin Bowser!!! The puzzles are fairly fun and the tutorials aren’t too long ) 2: Trash Pit ( this starting area is fairly unique compared to the others. Really because this area gives you everything you need for this adventure, specifically your hammers and Bros attacks, which both normally come a bit later in the other games. Basically why I really like this area ) 1: Stardust Fields ( the most beautiful first area. Perfectly teaches what the game is about, an RPG, where you explore or advance in areas, while solving puzzles in and out of fights. Just an all around perfect first area )

My Ranking: 6. Hollijolli Village (Love the atmosphere, Love the Music, but it’s plain for first level standards.) 5. Trash Pit (How can we make a first level more annoying? Make it 2D! Real talk though, ‘ts not annoying like the Energy Hold, but I kinda wish it was 3D) 4. Sunbeam Plains (This is where I really start liking the first areas. This one just kinda lacks style, but I love how it develops as you progress the game.) 3. Stardust Fields (This one though has Sunbeam Plains’s biggest weakness covered. I just wish you visited more though.) 2. Pi’illo Castle (Has the Most interesting tutorial scenarios, but isn’t Number 1 because of how much the tutorials kill the pacing.) 1. Cavi Cape (Can you tell I’m biased towards BIS? This one just feels the most satisfying since it has everything I praised about Stardust Fields, but feels like a step forward thanks to being Bowser’s tutorial.)

It’s kind of fitting that all the tutorials are in a place called “Trash Pit”

My favorite 1st area is Stardust Fields as well It has a calm music,fun puzzles for being just the 1st one and the Toad Bros are funny

I love the first areas that you explore in all the Mario and Luigi games! If I work for Nintendo one day, I would love if everyone would help make a new Mario and Luigi game! It will be called: Mario and Luigi: Elemental Bonds! I will be the third character to play as besides Mario and Luigi just like in the Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam game where you get to play as Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario!

My ranking: 6. Hollijolli Village: It's one linear path with a lot of tutorials until you reach the village. And you can't use the babies. 5. Pi'illo Castle: Tutorial hell with a lame boss fight at the end. At least it isn't the Blimport. 4. Trash Pit: I like this area because everyone has just been sucked into Bowser's body and has no idea where Bowser is, but I don't have anything else positive to say about it. 3. Sunbeam Plains: I think it's a fine first area, but a bit generic. 2. Stardust Fields: I like that in this area you have to get 100 Coins to save Bowser. The other first areas don't have anything like this. 1. Cavi Cape: I like the music, I like the design, I like how you play as Bowser, I like everything about this place (Keyword: Like).

Notice how stardust fields doesn't have as many tutorials. :0

My ranking from worst to best: 6. Trash Pit- Agreed heavily. Bland area, filled with forced tutorials 5. Cavi Cape- Probably the one I disagree with the most, you mentioned negatives but I don't think the positives you mentioned like playing as Bowser make up for it. To me, despite the cool music and design, there is just NOTHING in this area at all, which makes it worse imo. 4. Hollijolli Village- This area disappointed me with the short village and tutorial boss being really bland, but I like the village like you said. 3. Pi'illo Castle- I'm willing to swap this with the village since I don't remember much about it, but I like how the area ends with a boss and has a few decent minigames and there's stuff like the wheel of Grombas. 2- Sunbeam Plains- Thankfully Paper Jam has no tutorial boss or area, so this is just a normal area, although it suffers from being EXTREMELY generic. 1- Stardust Fields: It actually feels like a normal level, with actual decent enemies, and a REAL boss for once.

My opinion: Hororable mentions: Blimpport/Pillo Castle and Sunbean Plains: Since i didn't play the 3DS games, i don't have an opinion on them, so, they are in the HM. Number 3: Stardust Fields: Honestly, the only reason this area is my number 3 is because of the annoying Jump Rope minigame. That is basically the 1st annoying moment in the game. Besides that garbage, this area is completely fine in my opinion. Even the boss.(the boss isn't annoying, unlike other bosses i fought) 2: Holi Joli Vilagge: I don't care so much about the tutorials. In my opinion, this area is fine. 1: Cavi Cape and Trash Pit: Yes, in my opinion, they are tied. I just really like fighting enemies in these areas. It's great. I really hope i don't hate Sunbean Plains from PJ. Blimpport and Pillo Castle are probably going to be neutral for me.

Dude, congrats for your channel and your videos. However, I think you should really have new animations for your number screens. It does not look professional.

6: Pi'illo Castle. This area is so unnecessary. We've already learned all the basics with Mario back in Blimport (which would be ranked below this if we were counting it as an actual area this time), now we go through an *even longer* area with all the same tutorials but with Luigi this time. Why can't Luigi just be with us from the beginning of each game? If Blimport didn't exist, perhaps Pi'illo Castle could be ranked higher. 5: Hollijolli Village. Again, unnecessary. It's an extremely linear area leading up to it, that gives us tutorials on jumping, battling, items, everything. And then we get even more tutorials in Baby Bowser's Castle once we join up with the babies, we really didn't need Hollijolli Village. It could have been put to much better use if not the first area, the destroyed once-jolly town is neat but not well utilized. 4: Trash Pit. Tutorial hell, what else is new. At least this one gives the Bros their hammers already, but then gets slogged down with tutorials for those too. 3: Cavi Cape. You learn to punch and battle with Bowser, but, that's really it. The rest of the area is nothing but trying to leave. It has a great atmosphere, I just wish there was any substance at all to it. There's really nothing to do here, but at least it's short and not slogged down by almost any tutorials (because most of them are saved for the second area) 2: Sunbeam Plains. It's good, but only when looked at as a first area. Very little tutorials, a unique ability learned, and it's actually a full area. The problem is that as an actual area it's very empty, forgettable, and bland, and drags on sometimes. 1: Stardust Fields. This is a good first area, you actually do stuff here like the border jump and collecting 100 coins to save Bowser. The tutorials are only for learning a new ability, which is a good thing. (The learn-how-to-jump-and-move-and-battle slog was gotten out of the way before even entering the Beanbean Kingdom, for one thing.) Of course it's boring as an area in general, but as a first area it's very good. It has a very nice design as well.
