My favourite is the sdcc Hulk captures the savage look of hulk and the packaging took me back to the toy biz days I purchased 2 of these one I kept in the packaging and one for my shelf can't wait for the 20th anniversary hulk with the toy biz style packaging keep up the good work you rock.

Nah, the smart Hulk was much taller than this figure, as awesome as it is... Although technically, this green version of Hulk would be slightly shorter than his gray repaint... Joe Fixit Hulk would be bigger slightly but not by much, although more intelligent, he was a mob enforcer afterall, not the brainless brute... Each truly distinguishable version of the Hulk, offers a change in size vs. intellect, although he does seem to be proportionately larger and stronger, the more intelligent he becomes... But, yeah, a proper smart Hulk would be at LEAST a full inch (possibly 2...!!!) taller and MORE proportionate than THIS awesome green Hulk version. Hopefully, we'll eventually get one!

@@shanehai2699 You do realize that both Smart Hulk & Joe Fixit Hulk are smaller in size than classic Savage Hulk, right...? 🤔 Savage Hulk is 8'5" (sometimes 9 ft, depending on the artist). Smart Hulk is 7'6" and Joe Fixit Hulk is 7 ft.

Let’s hope if there redoing the first Marvel legends first wave for there 20 anniversary, Hulk is one of the one’s I hope they do and address the failure of the butter fly joints to go forward and give him flat open palm hands to do Thunderclaps with enough range to do Hulk Smash posse’s, and a new Toad and I wouldn’t mind if he looked like the Mercenary Toad in the Marvel Champions online game he’s really cool looking and worthy of being a Marvel legend

Excellent video and breakdown of Hulks...! I am 100% in agreeance with your ranking of these guys. Not an easy determination, but very well done! I don't have ANY of those Hulks except the ONLY one that matters... Your #1 green guy there, which came with First Appearance Wolverine (which I swapped heads and stuck in Alpha Flight). Aside from THAT Hulk, which is ALWAYS my go to Hulk, I only have the Outback Hulk (hey, he's cool, even though I literally know NOTHING about him, lol), the Planet/Gladiator Hulk BAF, and... Oh! Waitaminute...! I DO have the gray repaint vintage carded Hulk actually... (Almost forgot because I tend to use him as Solomon Grundy in my Superfriends cartoon Legion of Doom villains team...!). I also have 2 different MCU BAF Hulks, which are okay, but NOT NEARLY as awesome as 2pk Hulk! (THEY were freebies, so I kept them in case I decided to make use of them somehow, as I have a small selection of MCU figures, although normally I pass on ALL MCU stuff... Occasionally, SOME work as Marvel comic style "updates" or fill-ins as versions of a character, but mostly I pass on ANYTHING MCU... That said, I am happy for those who ENJOY the MCU figures and collect them. They're really good figures in general, they're just not the aesthetic I prefer, and it also saves money that I can use to buy other stuff that I do enjoy... Like a 45 figure strong Alien hive/horde, lol... Yep, 45! 43 Wal-Mart ALIENS dyed BLACK and 2 NECA RAZOR ALIENS to protect the Queen... !!! I WOULD love to get a PITT update figure using the gray Hulk as a base though, since I missed out on THAT BAF completely!

Wait…if you don’t own the hulks then how can you just agree with that ranking? That’s why you are seeing so many comments about the grey hulk being first and the 80th anniversary hulk being second because when you see both hulk figures in hand it is EASY to see why grey is better. If not for the grey hulk that 80th anniversary hulk wouldn’t even exist! That’s like saying Ben Reilly is the best spider man because he wore a cool costume with a hood on it. That grey hulk broke the mold of hulk figures and that face sculpt is ABSOLUTELY INSANE! That’s the most hulkified figure I have ever seen from ANY company and they took the time to painstakingly put details into the figures that only true collectors would appreciate. That’s one of the best marvel legends figures ever made in general and there’s very few figures that can compete with it.

@@ludotoyhunter8492 Well, FIRST of all, I actually WATCHED the video, so I VERY clearly saw EVERYTHING I needed to SEE, regarding the looks AND design of ALL THESE figures (BASED DIRECTLY OFF OF THE EXACT SAME MOLD, AND MOSTLY WITH ONLY DIFFERENT HEAD SCULPTS AND PAINT JOBS), bro... Secondly, I can agree with whatever I choose to agree WITH, and in THIS case, I absolutely agree WITH Dave's assessment of these figures, in regards to their ranking and traits, details etc., However, I'd NEVER own that train wreck of a Hulk figure, the "Compound Hulk", nor the SDCC uggo Hulk, because I choose my MONEY and sanity over those particular figures and Hasbro's greed. I don't even LIKE Red Hulk as a character, so I wouldn't buy THAT figure EITHER... UNLESS it came packed WITH the flame effects AND the melted girder from the Molten Man BAF, then I'd highly consider it... But STILL probably wouldn't buy it, because I hate the obviousness of the character for what it IS... A money grab technique. ANOTHER money grab technique I don't care for, is turning heroes into villains, so while Maestro Hulk is cool looking with all the extra trophies and Iron Man Armors lying around (that WE have to supply!), in concept and execution, he's just basic, and I'll wait for potentially a MORE accurate, hopefully deluxe trophies included version, before I consider purchasing him. And because thirdly, IF YOU'D ACTUALLY READ my post, you'd HAVE TO HAVE seen the part where I SAID THAT I ALSO HAVE THE GRAY HULK TOO, AND THAT I FORGOT BECAUSE I USE HIM AS MY DCU Legion of Doom, SOLOMON GRUNDY... I think I WAS pretty clear and specific about THAT fact...! NOT to mention the FACT that I DON'T CARE WHAT "almost all the OTHER people" are saying about the Gray Hulk being the "best" Hulk because, blahblahblah... I DISAGREE 100%!!! Yes, Gray Hulk IS well sculpted and detailed and has an excellent head sculpt, paint apps etc., and looks excellent... AS SOLOMON GRUNDY... Or MAYBE a Gray Hulk... Unfortunately, I JUST barely like that head sculpt better than the $#!tty SDCC Hulk head, which SUCKS royal @$$... So, for YOU to come at ME, with all that claptrap about "how superior" Gray Hulk "IS" over EVERY OTHER Hulk, because blahblahblah... Well, THAT was wasted time on YOUR part, because I don't give a tiny $#!t. NOT to put too fine a point on the matter. The 2pk Green Hulk IS THE MORE definitive Hulk, I don't care WHAT ANYONE ELSE says. Dave got it 110% RIGHT. MORE people remember the green Hulk iconically, and so MOST collectors LIKE the barely known Gray Hulk figure, BUT THAT green Hulk is actually THEIR favorite Hulk, regardless of what all the other KZfaq reviewers claim. I'll bet you MOST of THOSE guys don't even KNOW WHERE to display that Gray Hulk, and have the GREEN Hulk displayed MORE prominently than the Gray one, lol. I, however, DO KNOW WHERE TO display Gray Hulk in MY collection... And THAT is in The Legion of Doom DCU Villains line-up AS SOLOMON GRUNDY!!! 😁😁😁😁😁 Basically, as I've stated, I don't care WHAT ANYONE ELSE thinks... And YOU'RE insane if you REALLY THINK that the green Hulk "wouldn't exist" if not for that Gray Hulk... Hahaha, that's ONE of the MORE absurd statements I've heard lately! Considering that the Gray Hulk wouldn't exist had the SDCC Hulk not have been made with such a SHITTY head, AND Hasbro's need to make people buy the MORE obscure lesser known versions of a character (aka Gray Hulk/SOLOMON GRUNDY) BEFORE trotting out THE MAIN ATTRACTION (especially after the shit feedback and backlash they got for the SDCC Hulk NOT hitting ALL the right buttons), WHICH IS and WAS the green 2pk Hulk! Interesting how I would rank these differently, especially the SDCC, but mostly for the reasons you disliked it I liked it. From least favorite to most: Maestro - the lack of iconic attire combined with the inconsistent finish for the pants and oddly placed back shading. Composite - lack of new head sculpt and non-essential aspect of the pierce. Seemed like an excuse to get more money from the same mold. Grey Hulk - lack of interchangeable hands and even more important to me, this is already arguably an oversized Hulk build (height-wise), and this mold simply isn’t to grey Hulk scale. Love the figure otherwise but miss the interchangeable hands. Red Hulk - love the shading, painting, and head sculpt. Miss the flames. SDCC - love the head sculpt and painting, including eyes, veins, hair, and nails. Love the wash on the pants. Miss the interchangeable hands a lot. 80th - the ideal, iconic, classic Hulk head sculpt, color… fantastic shading. Love that he has interchangeable hands and the ripped shirt… only thing o don’t like is how glossy and unfinished the pants look.

Completely agree with the list. I did not have a Hulk in my ML collection until I saw the 80th anniversary two pack and that was the Hulk I needed for my collection. I'm not big on collecting different versions of a single character. Once I get the version I want to represent that character in my collection thats it....thats all I need.....and the 80th Hulk is perfect doubt I'll ever replace him.

My favorite Hulk that I own is the Walmart exclusive Hulk from Avengers. You were ranking just that body, but there’s also the AoU Hulk and his variants and the Ragnarok and Endgame bafs. To get closer to a classic Hulk I’ve seen people use the Ragnarok baf head, with the war paint removed, on the Endgame body. If they are in scale there are two ToyBiz face off Hulk head sculpts that would look great on any figure. There are casts of those floating around.

I agree with your order, except that I think Maestro should be in last place for missing the boots. Everyone else was an accurate representative, even the modern Hulk is supposed to be that shade of green. I bet we get another classic Hulk next year for the 20th anniversary of the first wave of Marvel Legends, which were Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and Toad. I'm excited for all four of them.

Grey Hulk is the BEST hulk figure they ever made. That’s the definition of a perfect figure. That face and head ratio was just perfect. The next best hulk is the immortal hulk from marvel select and then tied for 3rd is red hulk and the hulk from the wolverine vs hulk 181 2 pack. Including the 2 heads was GENIUS! The thing that keeps marvel select figures lower on people’s radar is their lack of articulation. They JUST NOW IN 2021 made the immortal hulk with multiple points of articulation. That’s a shame because marvel select has been around for 20 years! I can’t believe they JUST thought “hey let’s have our figures have ab crunch and ankle pivot!” Catch up with the rest of us Marvel Select…

I have to choose the 80's Hulk from the VS Wolverine 2 pack mainly because it is the only one i own, but if get to gloat i little bit i'll say i already own the best. As a side note, i did got hyped for the Select's Immortal Hulk until i saw he was a high end 80's Hulk instead of representing the evil Frankenstein look Immortal Hulk has in the comics.

But the 90s dark green hulk I almost passed on but he grew on me. And the Walmart compound hulk is a fun grab. I'd love to see an Abomb and evil Hulk made. Or even better, son of Hulk, Skaar! Spider-hulk remake anyone? Lol

1 year late, but iirc they announced the 80th first, then the SDCC. When it come to release, SDCC got it first. That's why 80th got a more complete package, as that's what the mold designed to be released first.

An "incredible" Hulk list, David. My favorite Hulk is two pack version with first appearance Wolverine( imo is the best Hulk ever). Red Hulk is my second. I need to get the Compound Hulk. I have all of them except for the SDCC one. But I'll most likely pass on it. I also have the Gamerverse Hulk(Aboriginal Hulk).

You could take the reed Richard’s retro figure, take his lab coat put it on a civilian body and then take the red hoods face mold and you could have it kind of make your own Bruce Banner and then put that in front of the first appearance hulk just like the comic book cover.

I have all of them less the Maestro , The one that came with Wolverine , The Grey one , The Red and the Other green that was an SDCC exclusive , I like the two greens more and after the grey , I don't mind about the red , and I didn't wanted to get this maestro as it is only a new head and the compound one for me is pointless.

The only one I dont have or is not here yet is the SDCC and it is well on its way to becoming my grail but I already have the same issues with the headsculpt and the fact the chest does not match the arms but I would not turn it down if you sent it to me, tee hee. I have three of the Grey MIC, one bought on eBay by accident and still am not inclined to sell the extra one yet. I love my 80 year Hulk I do not want to take him out of the box. The funny thing about you using the flames on Red Hulk brings up the argument that The Ultimate Green Goblin is built on the Hulk body and maybe makes this list? Man I really would like to know how easy it will be to remove the Maestros legs and do the Juggy thing. Stink for buying, that would be me. I know you probably dont have the BAF Red Hulk and he probably would come in toward the bottom but I also think he should be mentioned as he is considered a legend if not for anything else but because the wave it self is crap your pants awesome.

Iirc, they announced 2 pack 80th Hulk first, then released the SDCC before it. So technically 80th anniversary is the first lol. If you watch SDCC Hulk reviews from back then, some of them mentioned the 2 pack already. He's still my fave after all these years btw. Maybe maestro & SDCC are the meh, but even then, they're still fine as is.
