The best way to deinterline the Cranberry tubes would require the C and E running together on Cranberry. This would mean that the A would be a local route running from Norwood 205th St to WTC. This requires the C to be moved to the QBL to 179th St leaving the E as it is. With that the C would do express service on its line and this proposed C would be at 24tph while the E does 12tph to Euclid. The C would better handle the three branches after Euclid as each branch of the proposed C Train would also replace the inconsistent H Shuttle to Rockaway as the C would have to alternate between 3 terminals. Concourse riders would have to get used to 8th Ave service one way or another as the A would have more capacity than the D at Concourse. The A has to end at Norwood because of how the 59th St Junction works. For the A/C/E A: Norwood 205th St to WTC C: Jamaica 179th St to Lefferts Blvd/Rockaways E: Jamaica Center to Euclid Ave The B and D would be required to take the Inwood Branch under this pattern B: Inwood 207th St to Coney Island (Sea Beach) D: 168th St to Bay Ridge 95th St

That very true. It does goes to important spots in the city. It better then the A and C but it does take around 12 to 8 minutes for the concourse.

As a former F-rider I've always been proud of their frequent service. however... F has too many stops in Brooklyn with a lengthy commute that is exacerbated by whiny Yuppies in North Brooklyn who are adamant to sharing some of their capacity with a proper express service. No way a train that takes an hour to go from Gravesend to Manhattan should be in A tier.

The Dyre Avenue line does have a good descent ridership especially during rush hours with folks going to and from work and students going to school in the morning. There are schools at each stop on the Dyre Avenue line. That's no excuse for the long waits.

3 is just a 2 train that ends at 148st. Them terrible local in Brooklyn

If you want the best experience, I'd say the (A) or (7). Both lines have excellent views, and the (7) especially is extremely frequent.

What really should be in d tier is the orange m like it's to much for any one and there's nothing special about it, it's just combination 2 limes into a worse piece of junk, for service just walk to woodhaven blvd for QBL/Q60, I don't understand how hard it is, this orange m is only made for disabled people or those that have 0 common sense in their lives. N should be b-tier while the z disgrace can join the orange M into the D tier like it's overrated.

I agree the F should run Exp in Brooklyn, but the D/N shouldn’t be much higher than where they are. Both have horrible, inconsistent gaps, and are pretty slow for getting to Coney Island.

The (B) still uses CI yard, and it got its R68/As from the (N) (Q) and (W), as did the (G) when it’s R46s went to the (A) and (C)

That plans is terrible and will do nothing more than shoot ourselves in the foot. As I say it and AGAIN, White Plains Road and dyre Avenue riders has a SERIOUS DEMAND for the East Side removing the 5 train Lexington Avenue line from white Plains Road is a AWFULLY ABYMAL idea!!! How the hell are people going to get to the east side without it. 149th Street Grand Concourse will become a dangerously CROWDED CRUSH LOADED NIGHTMARE, The (2) and (4) trains are already overcrowded with the way the system currently is. No matter what investment/expansion you make to 149th Street Grand Concourse even with a restored 3rd Avenue line the 2 and 4 trains will LITERALLY NEVER be able to handle that many people transferring you would be pissing off thousands of riders in the bronx! Furthermore If the (2)(3) both serve The Bronx white plains road, there is no longer any service to the 145th Street or Harlem - 148th Street stations on the coverting that part into a shuttle is also shit too. since that would be screwing over everyone trying to get to midtown on Harlem. Like 135th street wasn’t designed for that overly complicated service patterns, the same for IRT Brooklyn. Rogers junction let’s face it it will never be perfect so their no use in even trying at this point. It actually works out. A lot of people use the (5) train on nostrand Avenue to get to Lexington Avenue. And a lot of people on the New Lots Avenue line uses the (3) train to get to 7th Avenue and the (3) train needs quick access to the Livonia Yard. And before you come up with this delusional view that the loss of one rides can be “consolated by more service” well sorry buddy but I’m afraid that’s not how it works, Having the 5 run up Jerome would create a redundant service and over-serve Jerome Ave. The case could be made for more rush hours service on the line to allow the 4 to run express in the direction of traffic, but outside the rush, is there really a need for 40+ TPH or 2-3 minute constant service on Jerome or in all of IRT for that matter? The 5 would either become a rush hour-only route, which would be disastrous for Lexington Ave, or the rerouted trains would have to terminate at 149 St-Grand Concourse to continue providing service down the line, which would be a waste just to avoid a MERE MERGE ZONE! Like that’s the fatal flaw in these trash plans, they isn’t enough space to terminate and run over these trains meaning that will be an additional dwell times in the middle of stations waiting for the trains to depart the terminals like occasional when I ride the 2 train it sometimes get stuck on Nereid Avenue when both tracks on Wakefield 241st street are occupied actually more unnecessary extra capacity will worsen this issue and Dyre Avenue definitely for a fact cannot handle the extra service, part of the reason with those select rush hour 5 trains start and end at nereid avenue, and that’s to not only allow for easier east side access on the northern white plains road line but to allowed for extra Lexington Avenue express service without over serving Dyre Avenue line. Is there honestly a NEED FOR THAT MANY SERVICE is the ENTIRE subway system for that matter? These are just formers throwing tantrums over the fact these trains ain’t running every 1 minute apart for each other. 149th street curve barely costs any delays compared to Roger junctions and dekalb avenue. I could tell that you have barely or never even ridden the 2 3 4 5 trains before in the Bronx or Harlem. IRT has the best on time performance ever every 3- 7 minutes is excellent for MTA Standards. Reverse branching doesn’t automatically means bad.

God, I hate you rail enthusiasts OBSESSING over de-interlining like it's this grand magic bullet that will make NYC Subway perfect and act like reverse branching catalyst of all problems...! We can all agree that our nyc mass transit system suffers from many problems, but the solution isn't to RADICALLY change the system because a group of transit fanboys so dearly want to see their favorite subway line on a different route.🤦‍♂️

@@Amiri_Francis its just trying to improve the subway with the structures we already have. if you want to fantasize about some new subway line or expansion, go ahead, but it would probably take years and more money than the mta can make from selling bonds that it wouldnt be feasible. the whole subway system could be much better as you can see from this video. and im not even playing favorites, im just saying that it can help improve the subway. a little bit goes a long way, and if youre fine with the aging subway system as it is, then i dont know what to say to you, but you can think that. im not stopping you. but im guessing and hoping that you want to make it better, and if so, i would like to hear your plans.

G seems to run extremely infrequently on weekend mornings btw. And now they’re doing the night time project for the upgrade. So it’s a bit of a mess but hoping it gets better in the coming years. Because I agree - a lot of people take it.
