Have to imagine that’s the next one and then probably Barry Lyndon. Paths of glory is my favorite that’s not made it to 4k but the killing and Lolita are welcome too… all day one purchases

I love the Spartacus transfer 70mm prints are all amazing on 4k but I hesitate to call this a Kubrick movie… it’s like a work for hire favor for Kirk Douglas without his usual attention to detail. Love the movie… all the performances down to the brief one by Lawrence Olivier. It’s usually not inlcluded in Kubrick collections and it’s the odd duck here. Probably is the most impressive transfer of the bunch though you’re right

I commend you for including Spartacus! Too many people want to brush it aside as just a Kirk Douglas joint. Kubrick did a bang up job filming that it looks magnificent!

For as amazing as Spartacus looks and sounds, I couldn’t possibly place it ahead of 2001 in terms of its glory on 4K.

I just picked up Clockwork Orange 4k for $5.99 at Best Buy for an early Black Friday sale and found this video looking for reviews. I'm not much of a fan of the movie so never intended to buy it but thought, at that price, I'd give it another shot after not having seen it for 30 years or so.

I am a Sci Fi fan and can appreciate really good visuals. I tried and tried but I was bored out of my mind watching 2001 A Space Odyssey. I even picked the right time to watch it when I was home alone. I guess it isn’t for everyone 🧐

THE SHINNING which is a movie I don't like as a whole but this 4k made my jaw drop. I saw this movie in 1980 at the theater and in every form of home video and never seen it this great. FULL METAL JACKET also left me thinking why can't every 4k look like this. So I bought 2001 which I like the movie but never wanted to buy it on video but I did this time on 4k and I thought it looks good not great.

@@lucidmonkey3591 I keep buying it on video because of Jack's performance. I don't find the movie scary at all. When it opened I sat in front of a fancy theater wanting to be scared and I was not. This coming a year later after seeing ALIEN in the back row and I was scared in the theater.

2001 is probably the 4K Kubrick that I like best, speaking in terms as a 4K disc itself. It looks mind-blowingly amazing! Yeah, A Clockwork Orange might not be the best 4K disc ever, but judging by screenshots, the Blu Ray barely even looked better than the DVD, so I think the 4K is a rather significant upgrade.

Question about clockwork orange, I haven’t bought it yet but is the mono serviceable even tho it’s Dolby digital. I would’ve been happier if it was lossless but it’s been weird hearing a Dolby digital sounds better than dts hd
