I think it's overlooked that Lisa actually became the Squad 8 captain in the epilogue. Not totally sure if that warrants her being pushed up at least higher than Mashiro, but it's at least a point for her

I feel sad that almost all Vizards are so underrated and have so less screen time, despite having very interesting characteristics. Shinji has a very noticeable position in the Past arc: Aizen's captain (and as you mentioned, the only one to discover Aizen's intentions), and is close with Urahara. Not mentioning his unique abilities, intelligence and leadership. The plot afterwards could have utilized him much more (though the anime version did give him more screen time by describing him as much more resistant to the initial Hollowfication & managed to overpower Tosen at the scene). Mashiro is another Visard I find interesting. With her mask on she's probably second only to Yoruichi speaking of physical combat abilities. I like the combination of her personality & the fact she easily mastered hollowfication (which reminds me the kind of peer at school who is less sophisticated / freshman at life, but gets 95% or above in every single quiz and exam).

I hate that so many characters were wasted potentials, especially Vizards. We dont know the exact powers of many of them, some of them do not have even zanpakuto names or powers revealed. I just hate it, why introduce cool looking characters without any explanation about their powers whatsoever.

They we're really Introduced as more powerful in the series only to be nerfed for plot reasons. They should have dominated in the Quincy Arc.

Shinjis shikai is like the walmart version of Aizens.

i feel like kubo could’ve made the shinji vs aizen fight way more interesting. they could’ve had it so they start in base with shinji being overpowered then activating shikai and hollowfication. then make aizen reverse each of the affects one by one and retake power.

I knew I wasn’t the only one that thought kensei was the 2nd strongest. He is very underrated.

A tosen video would be dope. He's strong and got unique abilities. People really sleep on him.

Kensei is my favorite character. His speed feats, reaction speed, the utility of his Zanpakuto, and his comfort with multiple ranges of combat is incredible. People do not realize his Shikai and Bankai are compressed like Ichigo and unique like Shunsui for its dual weapon usage and the additional comfort in weapon shapeshifting for situational benefits. People also don’t consider the power of a slash from his bankai. An explosive slash from his knuckle blades is devastating and hax in its own right. If senbonzakura for example is flying towards him all he needs to do is hold his fist up and it will disperse the attack.

Just my opinion, but I think Lisa has the coolest looking mask of all the Vizards.

Kensei is definitely my favorite Vizard 🤘🏽 such a badass character.

Many argue that vizards can't actually use their masks during bankai cause it would cause too much physical strain,their masks already only last 3 minutes so putting the pressure of bankai on it would be to much for them. As it stands only ichigo could pull of this feat due to his zanpakuto being a hollow.

I love these Deep Dives into parts of Bleach. You're so right that some characters just have bad match-ups. A lot of bleach characters can be OP if they're fighting the right person.

I don't think it's really possible to rate the Vizards in terms of power because we've not seen most of them use their Shikai and Bankai and they can all probably unleash their hollow masks in conjunction with their sword abilities to give them even more power. They absolutely deserve more development and even their own series because they are so fascinating and have so much unrealized potential.

Would love to see the vizards take more w's in the tybw. Let them flex in the first fight against the sternritter they should have had the best chance against the quincys with their hollowfication and then let the og captains shine once the next battle comes as it happened in the manga.

I love the Vizards, Vizard Ichigo is my fav ver. Of him and back then I always thought the concept was so cool and they were so powerful. Was kinda let down with how they were ultimately utilized in the series but still think they are really cool but yeah really wish they would’ve done more in the show. Also my fav ones were shinji, love and lisa.

I want to toss you a thousand likes. This video I believe accurately describes the actual strengths of this underrated group. Kensei Muguruma is my favorite character despite his showings as he demonstrates incredible skill that is undervalued.

Another theory I have for why Kensei, Rose, and Shinji never used their masks in the TYBW arc is that they might just be unable to hollowfy while using bankai. That probably sounds really strange when you consider that Ichigo almost always uses his mask while in bankai, but keep in mind that Ichigo has had his hollow powers fused with his Shinigami powers since he was born, so they're essentially in sync with one another. Meanwhile, the vizards all attained their masks from the experiment Aizen put on them, so that might make their hollowfication much more unstable when used in tandem with their bankai- which is already said to require intense concentration to activate. That, or Yamamoto may have simply forbid them from using their masks in order to become captains again, but who knows, Kubo will probably never tell us honestly.
