Well its not a top 5 signing in terms of what brighton receive but from an outside perspecitve its is one of the best transfer actions because ansu fati is capable of winning a ballon dor, if we gets on the right track. And brighton is the perfect place for that as they are a team new into the european business and a striving for success just like young aspirational prospect. Imagine if it works out and he meets the expectations and becomes what everyone trusted him to be. Just looking at it on paper, you bring a world class talent, that has the potential to become a ballon dor winner, to an aspiring and ambitious team to awake that same mentality that brighton as a team has. This could become, which i frankly do not believe to happen unfortunatly, one of the greatest career resurrections of all time

Personally I go Szoboszlai first, maddison second but them two are really interchangable. Both been quality. The fact Lewis put FATI on that list is ridiculous. Reeve is right. This isn't an end of season Top 5, this is Top 5 right now doing it in the Prem for their clubs.

@danmorris9588 goals and assists wise sure. But szobozslai has been a massive engine for that liverpool side. Not saying maddison isn't but in general, I think szobo has been a tad bit better. Like very minimal between them.

Im not sure if you read this or care, but if you want to know the pronunciation for Szoboszlai keep reading: In Hungarian Sz is the same sound as English S The last letter "i" is pronounced as the English E In Hungarian we pronounce every letter So the correct way is So-boss-la-e But English speaking people pronounce it So-boss-lie which is also better than nothing.

Might be Strange but Micky Van de Ven, has been an essential signing and is a bigger reason for our position in the table. Maddison, Udogie have been incredible, but the upgrade over our previous cb's is greater than the midfielder, which has allowed us to keep clean sheets and stability at the back which we have missed for years.

Maddison was a great signing Ofc, but for me Szoboszlai has to be number 1. Liverpool were desperate for someone with big presence in midfield. Szobo looks like a worldbeater and he is 4 years younger than Maddison. Undoubtably number 1 for me!

Lewis is so stupid. It's not about defending signings and whether they're good or not. It's simply who are the "top 5 PL signings 23/24" (so far). Fati and Hojlund are not top 5. McAllister, Szoboszlai, Maddison, Vicario, Van de Ven, Rice, Diaby, Ward Prowse, Raya, Pau Torres, Joao Pedro, Sanchez, Gvardiol, Doku, Kovacic, Nunes, Reguilon, Tonali, Barnes and Porro have all been better signings.
