After eight years, the English adaptation of the Ranma 1/2 anime reached its conclusion. The cast held a wrap party on September 11, 2001 (coincidentally) to celebrate the conclusion of the series.
This was included as an extra on the final disc of the DVD boxset for the final season of the anime.
Present at the wrap party were Richard Ian Cox (male Ranma), Venus Terzo (female Ranma), Kelly Sheridan (Ukyo), Willow Johnson (Kasumi), Angela Costain (Nabiki), Cathy Weseluck (Shampoo), Ted Cole (Kuno), Paul Dobson (Happosai) and Robert O. Smith (Genma).

I wish we could've heard from Myriam Sirois, Michael Donovan, and David Kaye (Akane, Ryoga, and Soun)... RIP Robert O. Smith.

Yes, I wish they were at this event as well. I do have a clip of Myriam Sirois and Richard Cox together at a convention to celebrate the conclusion of the anime that was filmed a few months before this event. I'll share that in the coming months! Please look forward to it!

It's even surprising of how Richard himself decides to voice another main character from one of Rumiko works shortly after and that is Inuyasha, by that time it was one of his notable roles that Richard ever did compared to the male Ranma.

That's funny just like his Japanese voice actor who played both Inuyasha and Ranma.

I hope the reboot/revival of Urusei Yatsura, maybe, just maybe, Ranma 1/2 may see an eventual revival as well. Also it'd be great if those dub voice actors would do more con appearances (I know I would love to meet & greet with Sarah Strange, Myriam Sirois & Ted Cole due to having grown into an anime fan cause of shows like Ranma.)
@TheRumicWorld

Same! The Urusei Yatsura revival is actually connected to the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan (Takahashi's publisher) and they are supposed to be doing 4 projects to celebrate their century anniversary (with UY's new anime being one of the four). Unfortunately I think getting two Takahashi revivals is unlikely, but yeah, I would love it if they could finish out Ranma 1/2.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, unfortunately many of them didn't continue on into other productions, a good number stuck around for Inuyasha though. I wished they got more work, but so much anime dubbing shifted from Vancouver back to the States in the ensuing years.

They look so young. They were also very young when they first took on their roles, almost the same ages as their characters. Lol

Indeed that's very true! And many of them are still dubbing. Sadly a lot of the dubbing industry has moved to the US, but these Vancouver based actors still get a few things occasionally. I wish Viz would use them more often.

Goodness, there's a DoCo USA? Their Japanese counterpart would be proud Cathy's Shampoo voice is actually quite accurate compared with Sakuma Rei's, it's got that high enough pitch and Chinese sounding accent

@@TheRumicWorldwell more dubbing studios are in Texas and LA and have a higher quality recording environment and better pay, if I remember correctly two of the voice actors for Ranma went on to work for ADV films and later funimation don’t remember what happened to them after that tho
