We set sail from Martinique and sail south overnight to St Vincent and the Grenadines. We’re battling some strong countercurrent but finally arrive in Bequia. Bequia is the biggest island in the Grenadines and we’re anchored in Admiralty Bay in front of the beautiful beach Princess Margaret beach. We go for walks into town and to Lower beach where we get company by a little puppy. Then we meet up with some cruisers for sundowners and pizza. Some perfect relaxed days!
We are a Swedish family who have sailed the world since 2016 while sharing the adventures here on KZfaq. Our boat and home is a Najad 440 from 1988. We post a new episode every Friday so make sure to subscribe and hit the bell to be the first to know when there is a new episode!

I'm stunned that it was five years ago. Times goes by so fast. I had to play back and listen if I heard right that it was five years. I would have guessed more like two.

Malin sailed those Islands back in the mid 70's so very different today. We live out in the TX country these days and have adopted many a stray dog. Thank you all for showing us how it is today through Vera;s eyes.

I'm amazed at the number of sailing families that have dogs or cats i can think of 3 that have parrots and the Rigging doctor has a Corgi dog 🐕 and two very large Macaws .😂 I can only imagine the problems at customs. If you ever get a dog it will need to a water loving breed or cross.😉

*SAILING NANDJI* has all the details of how to transport a Whippet on board a yacht from Austraila through S. E. Asia and back to Australia (with a child on board too). It's a monumental effort due to Australia's strict rules protecting native biodiversity, but they carried on with lots of positivity and help from friends.

I'm quite sure Vera appreciates your concern about puppies, but is smart enough to realise that puppies prefer land to yachts, and there will be millions of spare puppies in the future, once you settle back into Landlubber mode. Then your doggie can escort Vera to school each day.

Nice videos you do, just checking some full time sailors on YT, and when I checking in on your ch I had the feeling you are sailing in the Göta Kanal....when I check you out more your are from Sweden. I have never been trying to sail, but like the idea of it, but need to be a better swimmer first. ....Sometimes I like to swim with my clothes on :) / Per Övik

Just a question.. when it gets really rolly, why don't you sleep ina hammock? They can greatly reduce the swaying so you can get rest and maybe not sea sick. worked for many I'e talked to over the years. Plus, they make hammock chairs that you could hang by the helm.. very comfy

A hammock takes a lot of room to swing. Small boats are always tight on room. I had a 13 tonsailboat and cannot imagine getting more than one hammock strung properly. Most berths would have you banging against the hull and bulkheads if in a hammock.
