I've never dated but I personally don't want someone who's extremely clingy, I enjoy space. Being too overprotective and clingy is just as bad as being overly distant, you need a balance of both

Actually, I feel for the girl as well coz she's an independent woman who has her shit together. It makes sense that she wants him to focus on his own future as well. Though I do agree that she could have handled it better by being by his side and encourage him to be a better version of himself.

she could've chosen her words more carefully and their friendship could be salvaged. Of course it would be hard for him to be her friend at first but time will heal. By staying by his side, I mean she could have helped him find his way when she's still in love with him or she could stay as a friend even without love.

miao alo it probably shows that the girl misses him. i think she was too abrupt on her decision to break up with him. it seems like they've been together for quite a while, so instead of breaking up and only telling the reason during that instance, she should have told him her problems while they were still together so he could have tried to change himself. the girl doesn't know how to appreciate the fact that she means so much to the guy smh

it might have been too much for her, but honestly i don’t blame him, especially after she started distancing herself. he probably felt like he had to desperately keep their relationship together, she could have pointed the problems earlier, or not waited till this point to let him go, also she couldve chosen her words better. i don’t entirely blame her either but she just handled this all wrong

Exactly. He wasn’t the type of clingy that had weird or odd behavior. He genuinely wanted to know about her day and sent her pictures about what couple shoes she’d like and likes to laugh and talk with her a lot. He doesn’t stalk her or anything so I really don’t understand why she’s so annoyed

No, but I can understand the girl's POV. More than their set-up being suffocating, it's the burden that you feel from being the guy's center in his world. Some might think it's sweet, but if you genuinely care for a person, you wouldn't want them to only revolve around you. You would want them to have time for themselves, to still have time to grow on their own as a person. This is why having some time apart is sometimes needed in relationships. It's not solely because of the suffocation, it's also wanting to have time to think of just yourself and yourself alone.

Treating others like air. Unless u suffocate people wont appreciate air. In the same way if someone is always easily available, people take them for granted. In a relationship people shouldnt be overly clingy or distant . Always find a middle ground and most importantly dotn lose ur individuality.

I cried for him, I get that she felt suffocated, I feel suffocated at times too. But in the end I still want to be with that person/people because they bring joy, you could've just told him nicely to tone it down. (P.s. I've never been in a relationship soooo, it's related to family and friends, lol, T_T)
