The band is: Joe Elliott - Lead Vocals Phil Collen - Lead Guitar/vocals Vivian Campbell - 2nd Guitar/vocals Rick Savage - Bass/vocals Rick Allen - Drums/vocals They lost Steve Clark, who was an original member, to respiratory failure in 1991. He was one of the best guitarists ever in my opinion.

Before I developed a speech impediment, I used to sing and run a karaoke show about every single night and I entered a contest one night and sang bringing on the heartache and I actually won that night. Yes we celebrated life and enjoyed being kids and now still enjoy it as adults . Takes you right backl this is why the music in 70s and 80s is so great . You were kind of right, it can be taken as a coming of age song,. However, this came out in 1987, so you were off on the Era. This is Classic '80's "Hair Band" music. Saw them during Hysteria World Tour in '88. They had a ground-breaking rotating stage, set in the center of the Arena. It literally rotated for the entire concert! We were actually surprised none of the band members got motion sickness!! Seeing Rick Allen drumming for the first time on Tour after his accident with only one arm was AMAZING! It left a hell of an impression on my 17 y/o brain. Kudos to the band for standing by Rick through it all!! Nice to see younger people appreciating the music. Good for you kid!!

It is an absolute joy watching you react to the music that has been a part of my life for decades. In fact, I bust out in laughter because you display the feeling that this music provides. Yes, I am so lucky to have been able to experience the music of the 1980's in person. If you want to go further back, try Mountain's "Mississippi Queen", Free's "Alright Now" and Bob Segar's "Ramblin' Man". Another good rock band of that period is Steppenwolf - "Born to Be Wild", "Magic Carpet Ride", "Sukie Sue" and "The Pusher" are some good ones.

As a forty something person, it’s so funny to watch you discover these songs and makes me not feel so cheesy since I never really stopped listening to 80’s rock .

This came out in the late 80's and we were all "lit" and having a great time! I was 30 in 1988, the music was great, there were live bands playing cover songs at all the local clubs. We did dance all the time. We sure knew how to have fun and I would love to go back! You are so funny and make me laugh--I enjoy your videos so much. You should listen to "Bringin on the Hearbreak" and "Animal" by them!!

Do you believe it? Get closer baby! It's such a magical mysteria, when ya get that feelin', better start believin'!

Def Leppard walked that line right in between the softer rock sound of Journey and the harder rock sound of AC/DC. They are a fantastic band and very loyal to each other. When their guitarist (Phil Collen) was a blackout drunk, they helped him rather than kicking him out of the band. He is now one of the most jacked 60 something year old dudes you will ever see. I saw them in concert a few years ago and I swore he was 30 or 40 years old. When their drummer (Rick Allen) lost his arm in a car accident they put their touring and recording on hold until he recovered and learned how to replay again with one arm. After all of this they went on to make 2 back to back 10 million plus selling albums, which is a very rare feat. Not only is Def Leppard a great band musically, they are a true definition of what a band is supposed to be.
