QuakeCon 2014 takes place at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas from the 17th to the 20th of July 2014. Three Quakelive tournaments are hosted during the event: Intel® QUAKE LIVE Duel Masters Invitational Championship, PCPartPicker QUAKE LIVE® Capture the Flag Open and Seasonic® QUAKE LIVE® Duel Open.
FACEIT will stream the best games live on Twitch with United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and United Kingdom Xavier "Zoot" Dhorne as your hosts, who will be joined by several on-site guests over the duration of the event.

This is basically a dream match for me. Toxic & Rapha, both amazing players. Zoot & DDK, pretty much the best casters as far as I'm concerned. I know I'm two years late but still, amazing.

NutmegPluto That people start with more weapons, can choose which weapons to start with.. It's bad IMO. And the new announcer is absolutely horrible, and extremely annoying, and he talks a lot, so it ruins the game for me.

I played Toxic once... I know how it feels. You don't even see it coming most times. After 11 minutes the score was Toxic 25 - 0 Me. I decided to try everything I could just to kill him ONCE before the 15 minutes was up. The game ended 33 - -2. And here when I watch him play, his movement is shakey and his aim COULD be better. Imagine if he had never switched to Quake 4 or taken time out of the professional circuit. We would be living in Toxic World.

I know I'm replying to a 9 year old comment; but saying 'if he never Switched to Quake 4' makes no sense, because Quake Live did not exist during the Quake 4 era. So Quake 4 was the best thing for him to compete in, he won a ton of money. But you are right about him taking too long to enter QL, if he played in the early tournaments he may have been more of a contender.

@@Storm_. Dude Toxic was *always* a contender, based on his autisitc level game IQ and his insane motorskills. He left for Q4 simply because Fat showed that this was the way to maximize tourney money. Why stay in the super competitive, all-star riddled Quake III OSP? To fight for the money vs the other best FPS gamers in the world? Far easier to go to Q4 and split that money with Fat.

Toxicity is a map where score like 10-0 means nothing, it can be 10-11 after two minutes. And 20-11 after another two minutes

It doesn't mean nothing when it's top-tier caliber players. A 10 frag lead on Rapha is the equivalent of a 30 frag lead vs an average player. You have to be godlike to have a 10 frag lead over Rapha.

Noone noticed how rapha went back to pick up mega(which he already picked up durring the lg fight before ) at 7:30... his stack got evaporated so quickly in that lg fight he didn't even notice he picked up mega xD

If rapha could get over assuming that peollple cant pull shit off...Hed never lose except for when peeps go ham. Most of this was played safe from tox's view, very little risk. Rapha on the other hand is like 'oh, i have slight stack advantage lets walk up stairs vs tox lg from a choke point' :)

It's the only thing rapha is good at, sadly his passive style has won him 3 quakecon titles? He actually lost this one, first map 3-2 to Tox, if you withdraw the spawnfrag on Lost World, Tox wasn't offered any.
