It's been a long wait but well worth it, judging from what we see here. 🥲 I've been waiting a long time to see an accurate D10 on my Dominion Atlantic-inspired rails. A well-known brass builder promised a D10 several years back; I even plunked down a $100 deposit, never to be seen again. So I'm committed!

Is why I love the past! from boats, cars, Ships, rolling stocks, to Locomotives were all beautifully handcrafted and made with pride! I wish I could build one of those vehicles one day

Great looking model. Can’t wait to see more amazing steam and diesel locomotives from the Rapido team. Personally I’d like to see the H1-b 2816 with modern excursion features like both whistles and ditch lights. Maybe in the future?

what a really cool steamer! I like that you added dust on the wheel for that extra detail. The overall detail on this is outstanding for HO. I would give this model a 12/10 and I'm definitely buying one. Great job Rapido!

Preorders are just used to determine the quantities to produce. We don't collect any money up front and you're able to cancel your order at any time.

Looks a bit like a Corner Gas episode - I like it. And Bill is right, Traction Tyres Suck. By all means include, but put them in the accessories bag, not on the model. Hey, no red marker lights? Can't wait - I have two on pre-order.

Ok so I am wondering… I only see that it was basically going straight except for a couple of switches it went over. What kind of radius can we expect for it to work on? Layout was also flat. How does she do on 2% vs 3-4% seeing as how there are no traction tires? Not trying to bust chops, I genuinely want to know.

We had it running on a figure-8 with 18" curves for five straight days. It hasn't been torture tested on grades yet, however traction tires will be in included in the package.

They so could pull off coupler clank by when backing into a string of cars when the couplers connect it presses the locos coupler inside the tender a certain amount which causes the sound bit to trigger

They will be painted. These are early pilot models with hand painted bodies.

They'll be entering production VERY soon, like in a matter of days. They're scheduled arrive third quarter 2022.

Okay if there’s no traction tires then it’s not going to pull well even on the smallest grades. Also this is HO Scale! There has to be smoke in them now!

We're including an alternate wheel set in the box with traction tires should the modeller want to install one for extra traction. Smoke in locomotives is a divisive issue. Some love it, others hate.

The CN unit is on the back burner for now, but we'll be making another push once the D10 is sent into production. Steam is intensive!

They're just on the sample. The production model will have traction tires in the packaging to be added if desired.
