The order window for our Pennsylvania Railroad H21A and H21E hoppers is closing on March 15, 2024, so here's a little video refresher.
For a time in the early-mid 20th century, literally half of the PRR's hopper fleet were H21s. So If you model Pennsy, or any other railroad that existed at the same time, you'd have to make a pretty strong case to NOT have these on your layout!

Idea: have a Train of those Pennsylvania RailRoad H21 Hoppers being pulled by a Pair of Pennsylvania RailRoad Alco FA-2’s (could be Two FA’s, or an FA with an FB).

Glad to see! So if I wanted to model WW2 era, late 1940s and 1950s PRR would the H21Es be right, instead of the older not-rebuilt H21As? I like the idea of making a large mineral/coal drag with the Es and As, hence why I ask.

The H21E rebuild program began in 1948. The H21A would be correct for the war era and both versions lasted into the 50s.
