For this years Red Nose Day, Comic Relief were looking at doing something a bit different to create awareness around a particular issue so they got in touch with us to see what was possible. We thought who better to tell a story & put a piece together than Rapman..
Almost one in three women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, and 2 women every week are killed by a partner or ex-partner in England and Wales. Comic Relief has been supporting women and young people experiencing domestic and sexual abuse for over 20 years. Since Comic Relief began, it has supported over 400 projects, who have helped over 900,000 people experiencing domestic violence in the UK, both through their funded projects and via their support to the National Domestic Violence Helpline run in partnership between Refuge and Women’s Aid.. So sad this made me cry Iv been in a domestic violence relationship and got away in the end and then I got with somebody else and he was abusive.. There's a difference between violence and abuse and sometimes you don't get the two together...it's so sad that some men have to be like this it does so much damage to a person and children it takes years to get over it all and sometimes you never do!!! To all the women who feel like there is no way out there is!!! Ring a women's refuge and go there they will keep you safe and help you thru it all ❤️
