To make it simple: J-hope becomes the beat. He visualises and creates a world. He disses you with style and you vibe to it. Rm rides the beat and is great at changing the speed of his flow. He analyses the world through poetry and philosophy. He questions the world around him and disses you in a way that makes you think about the meaning of his words. Suga plays with the beat. He sees the world through emotions. You can feel it even without translation. He straight up disses you, no sugar-coating.

You really have to watch "ugh explained by a korean" you will understand how genius this song actually is. It's a masterpiece, they aren't actually dragging haters. They're angry, how anger, **a very powerful emotion that changed history and established a lot of rights through protests and movements all around the world and through the history, giving us huge milestones to be proud of**, is actually being wasted, being targeted towards innocent people for no use and destroying their lives (some comitted suicide) because they became a target for malicious comments and negativity everywhere. Anger is better than that, it needs to be purposeful, it needs to be a tool not a weapon. Use it to fight for real causes kids, have a life and leave people alone.

Please be aware that this particular lyrics video that you watched was not accurate as far as who is rapping at times. It drives me crazy that creator of the video refuses to edit or take down their video. Suga does the whole opening and then it leads into RM. Jhope doesn't come in until after the first hook. And there are other issues as well with lyric accuracy. However I'm glad you enjoyed this! I think you would enjoy "Outro: Tear" by the BTS rapline.

j-hope is an innovator when it comes to rap. It's entirely unique to him. His style is defined by incredible tonal diversity and his untouchable musicality (from his dance background). He also uses a lot of vocal melody. He's really inspired by classic hip hop (the latest song he lead the creation on is Dis-ease which received a lot of critical acclaim highlighting it's 90s hip hop feel). His brand is unique because it's bright and dance-able but his lyricism is deep and his flows are really technically rich. No one is doing what he's doing and it's totally worth checking out and taking seriously. Piece of Piece, Baseline, Daydream (all from his mixtape) are great examples of this!

BTS always have incredibly deep and philosophical meanings behind their music. I suggest checking out the few videos made by DKDKTV that explain the meanings behind several of BTS's songs, both group and solos. It helps you have a bigger appreciation for their lyricism and explains the cultural references made in the songs. The one explaining UGH! is so helpful as there are a few cultural aspects included.

This is a really hype workout song! You know what, I'd given up on most bts reactors, they either react to a few songs to get views then stop, or they just over-react and that attracts maybe younger fans. Statistically, the fanbase is actually really diverse in age and there are a lot of us true hip hop fans who appreciate lyricism and delivery, and I'm coming from growing up in what I consider the golden age of hip hop. I never expected one of my favourite artists to be a band whose first language isn't even English, but it just goes to show that language shouldn't be a barrier. Yeah it may be harder to pick out doubles, triples and schemes (mainly because translations are quite poor on yt) but Knox, man, you do a really really stellar job at it. I hope you don't stop this journey, I'm really invested. This is also not a diss against Kpop but bts should not be confined by that label imo. Thank you so much and I'm excited to also watch your own journey, your songs are dope too bro.

There were mistakes in this color coded video :/ for example, 4:00 is still Suga, not Jhope. You were spot on with the meaning of this song, it's about how anger is a necessary emotion that can drive change, but it is misused today, with people getting angry for nothing and hating. They are also adressing the suicides of some idols who got hate online. If you want to dive into the meaning, UGH! explained by a Korean (by DKDKTV) is great. I remember reading an interview somewhere before with the producer of BTS, who is also the founder and CEO of his music label, talked about how and why he created BTS. At that time he wanted to create a boy band who could sing and rap, and he spent over 2 years just to find the members for his dream team in auditions all over Korea. Finally BTS debuted, but the audience didn't like BTS that much. People in the industry as well as in TV networks, they all laughed about the idea of a boy band who rapped. That's what Mr. Bang said in the interview, managers of other major labels laughed at his new "rapper idols." Idols were not supposed to be rappers, even the rap music community in Korea joked about BTS. BTS are too pretty and exquisite to be legitimate rap singers, and too ugly to be idols. What they didn't know is that, both of Mr. Bang and BTS were simply passionate about music, and becoming an idol is a means to an end. Suga also said it before that he chose to join BTS because he just wanted his music to be heard, it doesn't matter if they were marketed as a boy band. Suga was right. What matters and made them this successful is their passion for rap music (and other genres of music too, actually.) They break free from the labels on them put by the people in the music industry, the entertainment industry, and the society. The world sees idols and rappers can't be the same thing, BTS doesn't care about the distinction that much. They just wanna make music, and hope their fans to enjoy the music. I think it's the singer who gets to define what the music is, not the other way around. I like the songs you wrote for yourself on this KZfaq channel, some of them are amazing to me. I'm not a big fan for rap music, to be honest, but I do hope we have more rappers like you in the music industry. Keep doing what you do. :)

No, the start of this is not true at all. Bang PD wanted to form a hip-hop group who was authentic, he was sick of the extremely polished groups out there with squeaky-clean lyrics and wanted to find a group with sincerity. Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hobi were therefore the first members of BTS. Over time, the idea switched from a hip-hop group to a hip-hop idol group. After BTS debuted, they changed their styles during the HYYH era, opting for softer music.

When I first watched you, I wondered if you pre-read the lyrics to contemplate their meaning... Because my god your reaction is flawless, it's like you take everything in and process it so much quicker and easier than other people. Massive respect to you for what you do. Keep going! Can't wait to see Joke, Daeschwita, Tear and Cyphers.

BTS have the most incredible lyrics, especially RM’s he blends Korean and English so well, and he has the greatest wordplay. I hope you check out more to fully appreciate the rap line.

Everyone’s already popping off in the comments about Daechwita (as they SHOULD it’s incredible) so I’ll add in some different recs too: ON by BTS God’s Menu by Stray Kids BOCA by Dreamcatcher Edit: also Black Swan by BTS - the lyrics are about creating music and they’re very introspective

Thing I love about seeing artists rapping in different languages is that their cadence and flows become so much clearer. These guys are impressive
