One of the things a lot of people miss is that when this came out, Eminem hadn't put out music in a while, he had a couple features but never had an album in between this time. So it was crazy to see him come on the track and kill this so badly, killed it to the point that Wayne and Kanye had a rewrite their verse after hearing Eminem's! Also, Eminem responds to Lil Wayne's verse in this on his feature with Lil Wayne on drop the world, when Lil Wayne says he's " in the lead and needs a pillow and a cover, my foot sleeping on the gas, no brake pads no such thing as last" Eminem responds to this on his feature with Lil Wayne, making it even more impactful, when he says sleep on me and that pillow is where your head will lie, permanently bitch, it's ready by, this world is my Easter egg so prepare to die.. Literally fire!

Absolute facts. When Em dropped this, there was only a couple of features out and this made everyone revere the legend that Em is again, went toe to toe with the giants at the time and smoked em! 🔥🔥🔥

Drop the World is so good song used to listen to it all the time when it came. The beat tho. Em trashed on Lil Wayne publicly (and other big rappers at the time) and when he got sober said that he was just in a bad place at that time, bitter and having hard time with rap himself since he was so messed up. That is a big reason why that and this song came to be. His and Wayne's convo was also very interesting, don't remember what the thing was but it's kinda like podcast, longform anyways. I always tought Wayne is kinda a dumb one since he put out stuff so much just by going into booth to freestyle some trash and those verses painted the picture but the 9club interview podcast about skating and everything really showed how he is a very smart dude indeed. He should learn not to carry illegal guns tho.. second time already he has been caught with one, like goddamn.

Relapse received high criticism because of the topics and overuse of accents, which I would understand but I don't feel like those are valid enough reasons for people to shit on relapse. The flows and rhymes are unlike anything any other rapper has done before and still hold up to this day.

I've stated this over and over again to; family, friends, co-workers and people on social media. Eminem is too intricate and very quick on his delivery, with multiple meanings in his verses/bars. He also has what Knox Hill speaks about. His cadence of frequent changes of flow/tone/control, is absolutely amazing. Being a 36yr old Asian guy born and raised in OC, Cali. I was easily influenced and an automatic fan of Em, when he burst to the scene being Dr Dre prodigy. Em is easily in my Top 5. I get a lot of heat for it. But, when the smoke is clear and when it's all said and done? Eminem will be respected unfortunately, when it'll be too late to appreciate greatness and a unique talent. His raw emotions, multiple styles, personality, energy and longevity is unreal and what sets him apart.

Eminem is a king. When i was a little, tbh i almost dont understand what he said at all but because of his rap god skills - this motivated me to learn English and tried to understand what he sang. I would say he plays a big role in helping me to study English.

Drop the World is one of my favourite Lil Wayne songs, would be amazing if you did a reaction video to unpack everything that song has. Just want to point out that you missed where Eminem said "he can make them look like bozos, hes wondering if he should spit this slow".. He's talking about the other 3 on the song. If you listen, they are at half the speed in their rhyme schemes. He's also saying he COULD spit that slow and still make them look stupid (like bozos)..

What was so amazing about this was that it was Em’s comeback after Lil’ Wayne and that entire scene had blown up. Em was on the back burner at the time. And then this....verse of the year.
