Slipknot - Wait and Bleed (not the music video because it’s a radio edit of the original song). It was there first single if I’m not mistaken and the sound is a lot more raw than modern Slipknot.

yall remember the first time you ever heard "Duality" or just the first time watching the" Left behind" video and just being fucking hooked. and following them till now and just never stopped loving them from the beginning. i can still recall the days being introduced to Slipknot and that angry kid inside just felt a little better from listening to them. They did good things for me and i could fucking relate. Ya ever feel like being isolated in life but if you were a maggot you did feel less alone and realized there are way more angry or just different people out there in all shapes and sizes. Like in every metal head's tool belt there is at least 1 Slipknot song or whole fucking album that you carry with ya. And people wonder why i consider just heavy bands and music in general are the best that the music industry has given besides classics thats its own thing. haha if you wanted a song to say fuck the world to Slipknot was there for ya.

Something I can really appreciate with rappers/hip hop fans is how much they dig into the lyrics of a song (understandably so). Whenever I check out one of these types of reaction vids, I always enjoy seeing how the person reacts to the lyrics. There are some good ass lyrics hiding in Metal/rock land. On that note, I highly recommend you checking out Tool (I would probably start with the song Vicarious). You will find another very dedicated fan base coming to see your thoughts as well.

Awesome vid man! Been a metal head for 25+ years so I appreciate the open-mindedness towards our community 👍 there are a ton of genres and sub-genres when it comes to metal music, so I would suggest a taste from the following: *Edit - I included a couple Hardcore tracks below, although technically are not metal - 1. Dealer - "Crooked" (Hardcore) 2. Being as an ocean - "The hardest part is forgetting those you swore you would never forget" (Melodic Hardcore) 3. Killswitch Engage - "The end of heartache" (Metalcore) 4. Amon Amarth - "Cry of the Blackbirds" (Melodic/Viking death metal) 5. Death - "Crystal mountain" (Creators of the Death Metal genre) 6. Caladan Brood - "Wild autumn wind" (Epic black metal) 7. Make them suffer - "Neverbloom" (Symphonic deathcore) 8. Through the eyes of the dead - "Failure in the flesh" (Deathcore) 9. Disturbed - " Down with the sickness" (Nu metal) 10. Hammerfall - "Hearts on fire" (Power metal) *Best of luck with the channel and I hope u enjoy metal music for many more years to come 🤘

Another great reaction! You are right that the lyrics aren’t just bs. Corey Taylor is a lyrical genius. This is another fav song of mine! Honestly, I will say that about every slipknot song. Lol I can’t help it! Haha. I remember the line that hit me the first time I heard it was “reaching out for the hand of god, did you ever think you’d shake your own”. Or something close to that. As well as the one you called out “I was all that you wanted and more.......”. It is true that the more you listen, the easier it will be for you to hear ALL of the lyrics easily.

Definitely check out the video For Duality and Birth of the Cruel. Duality is from an earlier album and Birth of the Cruel is from their newest album. Great way to see how they've evolved.

If you want to hear mostly clean Slipknot vocals, you could check out Snuff. They have several others, but Snuff is probably the most popular one. And for good reason, it's a great song.

not sure if you already read many comments saying this or whatever, but since this is a newer song from them there are 3 new members replacing some of the old guys so the sound is shifted a bit from their older stuff :) oh also i will say one of the newer members i mentioned is the drummer and you HAVE to listen to solway firth, the drumming in that just makes me believe he is the best drummer to ever exist.

You should react to "Get This" by Slipknot, it's such a "ignored" song and it's also very heavy. If the premise of your channel is "Rapper reacts to...*metal*", I think reacting to that song could impulse you really strong because no one has done it. Yet, many rappers react to metal. So it would set you apart in a good way.

Highly recommend you check the band Mushroomhead, especially their song "solitaire unravelling", they have a lot of rap core elements in their music. They're also legends in the genre from the early 90's.
