Drake owns a % of the label, it’s mostly owned by universal and he doesn’t manage it, so if drops are happening he doesn’t know, his not like Kanye who had full ownership of his label and was hands on with everyone which came at the expense of his own work.

I feel like fans have come to the conclusion that if you’re not an mainstream act you’ve failed and thats just not true. And then that leads to people saying ovo is a failed label. If Roy Woods, Majid Jordan, Popcaan, Dvsn, and now Namoi Sharon can all put out albums and be able to tour around the WORLD they have not failed them. And Pnd was top 5 greatest r&b artist of the 2010s after his first project so him and ovo was playing with house money after that honestly.

I personally see potential in the 1400/800 label like they have good songs and awesome distinct sounds to them all but the have horrible promotion and are inconsistent to actually make any moves on the scene especially 2020-2022 just seemed like a horrible time for music in general so I feel it's just a mess that can get straightened out to help its artist grow fs and trip needs to get on track to def see Ksuave and Chris King being the more prominent people to make it
