Let us give this guy a chance. In one month's time we should be able to judge him by his policies and his plans. It's time that the DepEd make public what's going on. We pay taxes and we demand transparency.

Tanong lang po. Wala po ba sa loob mismo ng DepEd ang pwedeng maging Secretary? Kasi sila mismo sa loob ng DepEd ang nakakaalam ng mga problema, kailangan at kasagutan para sa ikabubuti at ikagaganda ng ng Department. Para naman maging maayos na ang mga estudyante lalao na yung nasa public schools.

Another freaking politician.He should have appointed an academic/educator who really cares about improving our educational system. Philippines ranks among the bottom 10 of 81 countries in math,science,and reading. Our kids seriously need help and this appointment will just maintain the status quo.

No offense, I am in doubt of this appointment. Hope he does well but one thing I realized from decades of work, there are no other people who could understand the actual plight of the people from a specific field, other than somebody who came from their ranks. Example, An Education PH. D. holder that never experienced actual teaching, will never be as effective of an administrator, as that person does not have a full view of what teachers actually face on a daily basis... In short, the PH. D. Holder has theories but minimal understanding of reality.
