Afro-Pop duo Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa who met in 2010 on a school trip, where they partook in a music cypher on the school bus. After their cypher, they realized, they are both talented and the contrast on their cadence complimented each other. They decided to keep the relationship going as Blaq Diamond.
in 2017 they sign a record deal with Ambitiouz Entertainment, and shortly after that they released their first single with Ambitiouz, “Sthandwa,” the track was well received by fans, critics, and went on a mad rotation on radio stations around South Africa. Their debut album “Inqola” was also well-received thanks to the Afro-soul hitting unique instrumentals.
To see how Blaq Diamonds created the kind of tunes that have gained the attention of many music lovers in South African Rapseedtv visited them at their Ambitiouz studio in Johannesburg to watch them make a track in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, Sphelele Dunywa couldn’t make. Also, C Jay and Aubrey who were present contributed to the episode with their astonishing vocals.
