From the 1970 CBS TV special comes the strange duet of Raquel Welch and Bob Hope singing and acting out the Beatles' tune "Rocky Raccoon." You haven't lived until you've seen this one.

So I woke up this morning with this damned song stuck in my head! It got me to thinking of how a video of it could be made, so I went a-lookin', and here I am! This is pretty funny and Welch is just as stunning as she always was! Heaven really has an angel now!

I had to add a second comment but this one about Bob Hope. As the grandson of a Vet the son of a Vet sister & brother that are Vets five uncles are Vets. I was both Army and Navy. Bob Hope was a legend and a patriot beyond words. rip Mr Hope & thanks for all you did for our military heck for the nation

The Beatles are my favourite band, Raquel is the most beautiful women who ever existed and despite being hammier than something really really hammy I can't help but like Bob Hope. So as hammy as this was, I enjoyed it. I blame nostalgia, two bottles of Merlot and 12 months of lockdown.

A great parody and also a proper tribute to the original song. Some parodies mock the original, not here. Here are some top celebrities of the day, geez Raquel Welch & Bob Hope, you can't get bigger names than that, in a skit with costumes, stage sets etc. Nice job.

Flatout still the most beautiful woman God ever created. My ex-girlfriend, my late wife and every girl I ever dated knew flat out. I'd never cheat on them But. If I ever got a whack at Raquel Welch they hold the video camera cuz I don't want to forget it. For the record Sophia Loren pulls a close second. LOL they're both a good 30 yrs older than me.

@@dolfan13jmb A lot of folks loved her but she was too Hollywood glam for me (she never looked young) & I didn't realy like her movies. Now Myrna Loy man when she walked in a room, nobody could make a entrance like her. Beautiful - funny & made it look easy.

@@dolfan13jmb that's cool just because she wasn't My Favorite doesn't mean she wasn't a Golden Age ICON..... my mother has told me several times how Paul Newman was 2 years older than her at the same High School. She never ever met him. LOL but itseems to make her smile. It's cracked me up thinking of my mother as a freshman with a crush on Paul Newman

Well that's how I pictured rocky as portrayed in the Beatles song. I never learned to get into Bob Hope or Raquel Welch films but I met her once and I had no.bad opinion of her.

I could never understood how Bob Hope became famous. His poor acting and overall lack of talent were evident to me as a young kid in the 1960s and early 70s. I've to see anything form him that's changed my mind.

Bob hope could entertain crowds....armies....he was ....his repartee talent is rarely seen.. Russel Brand can do it to a degree,but Bob....he had a real gift....his acting was Tommy Cooper/Benny Hill......the man was slapstick...not Lawrence Olivier..

Fascinating! Thanks for posting! The skit goes on way too long, and the jokes aren't funny---they would have been better off sticking more closely to the lyrics---but Raquel is great (not a bad singer either), and if I'd seen this as a 12 year old Beatles superfan, I would have been pretty darn excited. I wonder, though, why they decided to leave out the last, best line in the song, in which the dying Rocky rediscovers Gideon's Bible? 🤔
