In that section, I neglected to mention the Elite runs slightly smaller than the original due to the lack of stretch at the bottom portion of the cap. I hope this helps! xoxo Marlene

PS - I agree about your comment regarding deceptive advertising. The price difference though between original and elite version seems fair IMO. I enjoy the extra tulle covering if the wefts and the additional hand tied panels.

Yes, the price difference of about $60 is definitely fair and not out of reach for those that prefer the softness of covered wefts and hand-tied. Good point! xoxo

Totally agree with you about this hand-tied issue. If there are wefts, it isn't hand-tied, just partially. And yet, the brand still wants to charge a fully hand-tied price!

Hi Kim, thanks for stopping by! That is a really good point. It isn't hand-tied but they mark up the price as if it were a fully hand-tied. I also wanted to bring this up for those that wear JR hand-tied which run on the larger end of average and then some. If someone purchases a RW thinking it will run on the larger end like the JR, a RW partially hand-tied will not fit them. xoxo Marlene

I have it, and I regret not sending it back. It’s too dense for me. You are the best! Your honesty is just everything. Some people like the density, but I’m not one of them.

Hi Marlene! Thanks so much for this honest review! I have watched other people review this wig, and the back wefts were not mentioned. I would imagine if someone ordered this, they could be unhappy if they really wanted a fully hand tied cap. I like them either way as the wefted cap in the back tends to hold up better, BUT I have a bigger head so they do not fit anyway! Beautiful colors and you look super cute as always!

Hi Terry, thank you so much for visiting! Whenever I review a Raquel Welch or Ellen Wille with a partially hand-tied, I like to point it out. There's nothing wrong with this type of cap but they do run much smaller than a Jon Renau hand-tied which have a lot of stretch to them. I really don't want anyone to be disappointed with a wig that doesn't fit. xoxo Marlene

Oh yes, I total agree with you on the cap. The RW just wants to charge more for a 100% hand tied when it isn't. I am not a fan of RW personally. The only RW that I haven't had to sew some wefts or fix the cap to help fit me some how was Goddess. Then the fibers tangle so bad so quickly. I just stay away from them now.

RW does charge more for these but I think my real issue is that some wearers may purchase them thinking they will run on the larger end of average like the Jon Renau then be disappointed when they find the RW don't fit. I have had a few of these partially hand-tied by RW and wasn't able to get them on my 21.5". xoxo Marlene

I totally agree with you on the hand-tied issue. If it’s a PARTIALLY hand-tied cap it should be noted in the description! Both of these colors look nice on you. Shaded Cappuccino is my favorite❤🤗🫶

Thank you so much for stopping by, Nancy! I think my biggest issue for the non-disclosure is wearers that are used to the extra stretch on a Jon Renau or Belle Tress hand-tied may purchase a Raquel Welch partially hand-tied only to learn they run much smaller. xoxo Marlene

Really appreciate your reviews. I too care about honesty. What I like about hand tied caps is that the fit is often better for a petite head and the hair has more natural movement. In this case, however, there seems to be little movement. I have In Charge which has a similar shape, but shorter in the back. It too has little movement. That shaded Cappuccino is a wonderful color on youj.

Hi Margaret, thank you for stopping by! Thank you for bringing up these very valid points. It really is a deceptive plus we don't have the movement as we find on fully hand-tied. It may be due to the sewn wefts that prevent the fibers from moving. Thank you! I love SS Cappuccino! xoxo Marlene

Thanks for being so honest. I have a few RW wigs and each fit me differently and the hair density is also very different. Wavy Day was great, Unfiltered was awful, had a bunch of hair on top exactly as the ruby colored did. I kept telling my husband that it was like a topper on top of a wig 🤣 It was huge too 😳 Really inconsistent. The return fees will eat you alive so it’s disappointing when this happens

I bought this wig as soon as I saw it come out, I really love a hand tied cap. I will admit, I’m a little underwhelmed with it, it has a big bubble in the back of my head, fits really large, and it gives me helmet head. I’ve tried steaming it already, so can’t return either. I’m going to look for a you tube on making the cap smaller, I know I’ve heard they can be taken in some way.

If you belong to the FB group, one of the members added an excellent video where she shows how she sews all her wigs to make them smaller. She has a 19" circumference and even the petites are big on her. xoxo Marlene

The classic (non elite) SUWAT and I go way back. However, I have noticed a lot of variance in it over the last year or so. The most recent one I purchased was so thick on the top that I couldn’t see thru the mono top at all. I’ve tried thinning her, but it didn’t seem to make much of a difference and I was afraid to keep going. This style was the first one I fell in love with on my wig journey. But now, she just sits on my shelf. So disappointing. I wish I could make her work for me again. 😢

Hi, thank you so much for stopping by. I no longer have the non-elite, but I don't remember it having the higher density on top as this one does. I feel that RW may do this to add the volume since permatease may not be able to be added to the hand-tied portion. I'm so sorry it's no longer working for you especially with a style you loved. xoxo Marlene

Love your review. Like the wig but agree it needs some TLC to make it work like flat ironing the ‘poof’ out of the top and straight ironing the ends. Cappuccino color is gorgeous on you

Minor or not you are paying for something that is in actuality is not what it says it is. I am not ok with that. You are paying a higher price for that piece and the cost is higher due to the description so yep, wrong in my opinion
