I like the fact that she could relate to almost everybody, everybody kept trying to claim her, when she wasn't black enough for some she was too hood, I think Whitney had charm and class and she could relate to anyone. She could be down when she wanted to and be a princess when she wanted to, everybody keeps trying to claim her as this or that ,I hope she knew who she was because that's all that matters. People think because they buy your music they are supposed to know what's. going on in your life, these people's lives belong to them, fans should just buy the music, go to concerts then go home and mind they're own damn business

This is when Whitney reminded me of Diana Ross in the sense of her classic-pop princess appeal when Diana was in her prime and both were vulnerable. Diana could own what White people thought was theirs as well as what Black R&B artists could do with that unique tone, so she got backlash from both groups, just like Whitney did. Not black enough for the Blacks and wanna-be-down Whites; yet, too Black for the Whites that didn’t like her pop reign. History repeats itself. Whitney was bothered by this in the long run, whereas Diana was not affected like that.
@tonybuc673 жыл бұрын
So true - I wish Whitney could have had the same thick skin Diana had and not care what either side thought. Diana is still here with us at 76 yrs old and sadly Whitney didn't live long enough to see her 50's.

When the MOT truth tour went over seas she got longer extensions put in. I just loved how youthful and playful they were on her and how they moved on their own and with the wind. It's weird the things I notice (like that orange and blue dress. I love it on her and there are lots of photos of her in it) and love about this woman. Endlessly fascinating.
