The RESHOEVN8R team is back from Lake Havasu, and Vick wasted no time getting to work on Kenny's Air Jordan 3s 'Legends of Summer'.
The Almighty One started off by removing the insoles - very, very, carefully! After 20 years, they weren't so easy to get out! After the insoles and laces were separated from the shoe, Vick spent a good amount of time removing stains and dirt from the uppers using the Nubuck eraser that comes in the RESHOEVN8R Dry Suede Kit. Once the suede was to his liking, it was time to attack the inside of the shoe.
To clean the inside of the shoe, Vick used a combination of the suede brush, the Essential Kit's soft bristle brush, and a vacuum to remove any excess debris. From there, it was on to the soles! Once all of the rocks and "junk' were picked off the outsole, Vick used the stiff bristle and medium bristle brushes to clean up the outsoles and midsoles. It was extremely important that Vick did not allow water to come in contact with the suede as this could have permanently damaged the material and color!
After throwing the laces and insoles into the wash, Vick started the REAL work! He repainted the midsoles using a combination of red, fire red, and bright red colors. He even shows us how to re-wax the laces! If you didn't already think Vick was the goat, this part will change your mind - using a soldering tool and some red hot foil, Vick Almighty recreated the red scales located throughout the uppers! This took over a day of work on its own! Once the scales were set, Vick brought back the vibrant red in the suede using a few coats of RESHOEVN8R Mink Oil.
