As I posted once before regarding shined up pennies. In the 1960's, I had an older family member (18ish), who would come around on payday and swop out his silver on my mum's penny jar and we'd then polish the pennies, as he claimed a pocket full of shiny pennies inpressed the 'birds' when he went 'out on the pull'. From memory, he was never short of a girlfriend or two, so maybe it worked? Life seemed so much simpler back then. Have a Merry Christmas.

You found some very nice coins in that hunt. The 1876 was outstanding. The 1916 was also fantastic.

Some lovely finds this time especially the wide date 1876 and the 1916. Incidentally, not all 1915 recessed ear pennies exhibit the broken tooth, although all the 1916 ones apparently do. George V seems to be dominating this hunt with over half of the coins thusfar being from his reign! Thanks for all the videos this year, Paul and I wish both you and Sue a very Merry Christmas (with plently of ) and a Happy New Year. Looking forward to more of the same in 2024!

That 1876-H was really nice for the era - so was the 1916 with mint luster. Can't wait to go to the UK and get another large group to search!!
