This is a rare vintage Swiss made Reuge music box, circa 1965 (Reuge model #5502). The exquisite cabinet (dated 2/JAN/1965) is made of Thuya wood, which is a rare African burled elm, and features a veneer finish. The cabinet contains a Swiss made Reuge 3 tune 36 note changing musical mechanism. The musical mechanism has been professionally serviced and restored to "AS NEW" condition by the seller, Music Box Repair Center Unlimited, and comes with a seller provided 2 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The musical mechanism is mounted under protective glass, has a winding key located on the bottom of the box, and a play/ stop button located on the front face of the cabinet.
