Thank you for the footage! One of the greatest "what ifs" in chess history is what if GM Reuben Fine decided to participate? He had as good a shot as anyone, especially after his result of tying for 1st in the 1938 AVRO tournament.

Fine was probably not under the same strength ten years later. After all, he retired a few years later. Another question is what would have happened if Najdorf had been allowed to participate. He was a player equivalent to #2 in the world rankings at best.
