Come on!!! Moments like these are what plane spotting is all about in my opinion… who doesn’t love a go around!? (Apart from passengers… lol).

The 747 go-around was epic.....literally feet above the runway. Then that angle of climb and the turn over Dockweiler......I saw it live and was like a little kid on Christmas morning. Thanks for catching it......Hopefully I'll see you either this weekend or next at Clutter's.

A little kid on Christmas morning, is an excellent description of both Josh and Peter. Their sense of wonder has not diminished over the time of their channel.

My Dad used to take me to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to watch planes take off and land. There was a road that was by the airport that really wasn't being used for hardly anything. Whenever we got there, there would be other people there watching these gorgeous, hulking big masterpieces of machinery take off and land. It would make me happy to see other people happy about watching these planes. Unfortunately, they closed that road. I was bummed and sad. I LOVE the 747. She's one of the best airplanes. She's so regal....."The Queen Of The Skies!!" I love those airplanes. I will never forget those memories. I love to hear the commentary from airplane enthusiasts just like me. I also love trains as well. Steam Engine trains are the best!! I don't know if this still happens, but there is a train that goes from Downtown Los Angeles to San Bernardino. There are railroad tracks that the freeway surrounds. I was watching a video of it here on YT. The past with the present. Awesome!!! My Dad and Mom passed years ago. I miss them so much. Thank You for making these videos. It brings back memories of my Dad and me.

You can't blame the United. That is the controller... they seem to be cutting it way too close A LOT lately
@mcpr59718 ай бұрын
It's a good lesson to not jump to conclusions. It's so easy to see something and automatically lay blame. But there's way more going on.
@kaveman10218 ай бұрын
LAX is actually conservative compared to say SFO. You don't see drag races or parallel landings at LAX.
@Jmjbs8 ай бұрын
The controller didn't do anything wrong. There was a coyote on the runway that stopped the departure from rolling.
@indahouse73218 ай бұрын
as a controller i can tell you, that wasnt "too close" at all. the A380 could have landed legally.

I remember on the north side of the LAX, it has 2 runways, the left is for takeoff, the right is for landing. Why do they only use one runway recently?
@workinonit47528 ай бұрын
Construction has the 24R closed. So they only have 1 runway on the north side.

It came back around and landed.

@@workinonit4752 Thanks! I wasn’t sure since they included the 747 landing but not the a380, and that’s a long livestream to comb through for one plane.

#Teamstrips because Condor needed a livery to differentiate itself from Lufthansa and from the whole Thomas Cook collapse. Go to a German beach and what do you notice? Stripes. On Lighthouses, Beach chairs, towels. To Germans Stripes = Holiday.

Why isn't the runway completely level...it looks wavy
@hubermarcelo42738 ай бұрын
Because it isn't lol, airport runways have something called slope, they're almost never leveled
@kylethomas74678 ай бұрын
Distortion from the zoom lens
@michaelsimpson801018 күн бұрын
It's because it isn't completely level. Depending on runway length, site where built, terrain contours, etc., runways will often undulate (or, have a an end-to-end longitudinal slope). Most runways will have some variation in height (grade). However, airport runway engineering standards limit the amount of variation permissible.
