Poor people have no idea how brainwashed they are.
@battlefennec7 жыл бұрын
Brainwashed about what? It's true the US started the Korean War to combat communism. Much like they did in Vietnam with the Tet Offensive. Both times they've failed to defeat communism, with Vietnam taking over and NK and SK getting angry at them. Mind you, the North doesn't blame the south for their separation, since the US and China pretty much established the DMZ and held each other off.
@svtzeater7 жыл бұрын
Blas Molinari brainwashed about their country. There is so much out there to explore but they aren't allowed to live normal life or leave their country. Who would want to live that kind of life?

svtzeater Knowing I'd be safe from the outside world? Before the world was 'unified', each country prospered on it's own way. Now the world is kind of screwed up, and I'd think this is just a unique country that doesn't need to know the world around them.I admire their tenacity to keep the world influence outside and keep to themselves. Monastery Monks have done such for many a millenia, I wonder what North Korea will be like in a hundred years. It'd be interesting to see.

NK right now is such a hard issue, no one wants to tackle it. Its been over 50 years and they are so poor and so far behind the curve that if the NK government was removed the people would starve or rush to China or SK. Neither China or SK can handle 20+ million refugees and that is why nothing has been done. Also SK doesn't want to risk their people in Seoul being killed by Artillery, because they are within range of it as well as missile and rocket fire. Many people would die in SK and their economy would take a huge hit. Even though SK would win the war alone if need be the cost would be to great. Even if the US stepped in the loss of life would be staggering. Another problem to consider is that even after a war was won, the mass amount of people who are devoted to the Kim dynasty is so high that the fighting would last years, trying to clear out pockets of people fighting a guerilla war to the last person. These people have been brainwashed from birth and believe in in the Kims with every fiber or their being. Infact even NK people who flee into China or SK struggle with the idea of Freedom, and some even go back to NK even if it costs them their life. The North Korean issue is one of the worlds more complex issues and really no one knows where to start.

I thought it was a UN sanctioned mission to South Korea meaning you just forgot the troops that fought and died from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, New Zealand, The Philippines, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, The United Kingdom. [EDIT:And let me be complete and include the nations that contributed in medical and logistical personnel Cuba, Denmark, El Salvador, India, Italy, Japan, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Taiwan.] But they only signed a ceasefire with the Americans instead of with the UN? That makes no sense, especially since North and South Korea never signed peace. So out of all 26 countries they fought they signed peace with one?
