@@expert_marksman8621 Sparring is fighting. There are level's to a sparring match. Some box to sharpen up their tools. and some go hard to know what they got before the actual fight. Either way it's a fight & like I stated previously they are not trying to hurt each other but it's still a fight.

Ali is world class. If you watch his interviews and tv show appearances and home videos, the man is not a softy but he surely isn't aggressive or mean. I think people when they think of fighters think "oh well they're mean and want to kill people with their fists!" No. Ali turned it on for the sport and the people. Knew how to turn it on and off to draw a crowd. Brilliant.

He also never hit anyone on the way down to the canvas, unlike what most would do. He saved Foreman from an even more brutal knockout by pulling his last punch.

That interviwer was very familiar with the lads ,he was seen in Alis kitchen once (home of his parents) giving an interview & Ali gave him room to mess around with them a bit

@@jensastrup1940Yes normally that would be very disrespectful & Alis character wouldn't alliw that but Ali ws permitting it as part of a joke between them to highlight his humorous nature & sort of share with the or World the joyful aspect of his personality which was his perpetual funful speaking 🔊 ..It was a pantomim moment between them ..The familiarity of the gentleman along woth his understanding if Alis comedic timing made it possible...He ws around the lads a lot in that particular season 1960 to 65

This is the same gym that my grandad trained at during his pro career as a boxer. Paul Kasper. He was the New England light-heavy champion in the 70's

Wow. They were like twins despite the age difference. At first I could barely tell which was which in the ring. I guess the boxing world didn't have enough room for two Clay/Ali brothers. Rudolph had some of that family magic in his gloves. So did Laila Ali who retired undefeated after 24 fights.

Rahaman Ali, Rudolph Valentino Clay, is still alive. In 2014, Ali released his autobiography, That's Muhammad Ali's Brother! My Life on the Undercard, which is co-authored by H. Ron Brashear and the foreword written by Gene Kilroy - the longtime business manager of Muhammad Ali. In 2019, Rahaman released his second book titled My Brother, Muhammad Ali - The Definitive Biography. It is co-authored by Fiaz Rafiq, with the foreword written by NFL legend Jim Brown. (I want to read this. It´s got to be good.)

@@H.K.5 The was a difference in mentality between pre-Nation of Islam Cassius Clay and Nation of Islam member Muhammad Ali. Before he joined the NOI as Cassius Clay he was called the "Louisville Lip", no such nick name carried over to Muhammad Ali

Have been a massive fan of "The Greatest" all my life and read many books about his life and therefore knew about his brother Rudy. All previous images I have seen of him have been with the trademark '70s moustache. Without the moustache HE IS THE SPITTING IMAGE OF A YOUNG ELVIS! Pause the video @00:43 and you will see exactly what I am talking about. Kind of heretical to say but - without the moustache - which gave him that pre-Magnum, Magnum-clone handsome guy look, he was actually the better-looking of the two:- ask yourself which of the two a modelling agent with zero knowledge of boxing who had ONE male-model contract to give just on the strength their appearance alone would choose...

ALI REALIZED THAT HE WAS WRONG, ALI REALIZED ALOT OF THINGS HE DID WAS WRONG BUT HE DID LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT HE WAS WRONG. Ail brother was an average fighter. He was a conventional boxer with no special skills at all when he sparring with Ail, Ail was mostly playing defense and would jab at Rudolph and move around a lot. Why do you people think he was a highly skilled fighter like his brother is beyond me ! ...LOL

I couldn't tell who was who in the ring... until the interview started with Rudy. He had all the skills, experience and boxing know how, as Ali. But, he didn't have the granite chin & The Louisville Lip!
