It was a bit scary to be honest, but once the fight started I felt great. I had trained real hard for the fight and was ready for war TOMODACHI !

It was an incredible journey and it was my first time to properly watch it and share my emotions, I didn't know I was going to to get so charged with all the old raw emotions. But thanks to Paul he was able to capture it all and put it all up here so I personally can go back from time to time and relive it all.

@@TheTokyoShow Im very sure his loss to you contributed heavily to his further success as well. Reminds me of when Canelo Alverez lost to Floyd Mayweather. He became a lot better and almost unbeatable with the lessons learned from the loss.

Did you ever become friends with jerome lebanner after he gave you that dirty shot? Man you had to fight all the huge guys and suffered some bad injuries

@@JunkFoodJapan Yes this was an excellent fight against an excellent opponent. I actually saw him live like 2 years ago, he KO'ed James McSweeney with leg kicks. Congratulations on a great career man, K1 was the real deal

There should have been a lower weight class for great fighters like you nick, mike mcdonald and some of the other smaller heavyweights. Guys like semmy schilt alexei ignashov and many others had such a huge height and weight advantange as well as reach.

You got that right! Gokhan and I about the same size and look at the fight level! It's awesome, I wish they had a under 100kg's class back in the day and even a under 90kg's class. That would have been cool

Yeah it screwed over smaller fighters I never understood open weight category I did kyokushin too and would see super talented lightweights lose to monsters who could only charge forward and throw uppercuts w little skill or technique😂

Out of the norm question Mr. Pettas. Where did you learn your English? You came to Japan at a young age and I doubt you went to an English school in Tokyo. How come you are so fluent in English?

ニコラスさんの試合は十代の頃よく見ていました、私も高校の時伝統派空手をやっていましたし、今は格闘技はやってませんが、仕事で辛いもう逃げたいと思った時は、ニコラスさんが内弟子の後輩に言っていた、やれないんじゃない！やるんだ！辛いのは皆同じだ！という言葉を思いだし、日々しょうじんしています。
