I was in The Blues and Royals many years ago and the coach broke down so we all had to go in a horse box!!! Hahaha some very funny comments from people as we came down the box ramp!!! 'Forgot your horses lads' etc hahahaha

The boots maybe a ‘little tricky’ to climb the coach steps with but Swan necked Spurs make it difficult to descend steps! 😂

What's struggling? They're probably going back to their barracks. To get a good night's sleep and then wake up and start all over. They doing incredible job. And they deserve a vacation also. Yes they do!

What a well timed video, that was interesting. Considering the space, even in a decent coach, between the seats is not much. It would not surprise me if their boots got wedged where the slope of the seat in front angles back. Also, I have now a full uniform, which has taken three years to pull together including coat and sword. The boots weigh 9lbs and it can be awkward going up steps as these boots are so stiff that your natural ankle movement forward is very restricted. The overall weight of the kit is a good stone plus heavier. (6.35kg)

@@cscms28 Hi, I got them off eBay for £154.00 in Oct 2020. I was very lucky in that the boots were intact. Normally they cut the wings and score the boots before they are put out to surplus stores. You could be a replica pair at Silvermans. Good luck. They are great I love them but it is hysterical to walk in them.

Anyone ever see the old Western musical movie with Lee Marvin and a very young Clint Eastwood called “Paint Your Wagon”? Marvin’s character drank a lot - and so did his horse. Had one scene where the horse was literally leaning again the side of a building, was propped against it. I think it might have even had one front foot crossed over the other. Was very funny. The movie was a remake of the Broadway musical comedy.

Perhaps this video will "shut up" all the people who complain about their Uniforms and how uncomfortable their boots and all the rest of the moans and groans the uninitiated come out with.. They are loyal honourable men/women and somehow or another this video reinforces that. Going back to barracks for a well earned evening meal and a pint or two. Not forgetting the boots and the rest of the gear have to be spotless for another day, facing those awful tourists.

They're not off duty. Get your information correct. Off duty, they would be in their BDUs or everyday wear. The other thing not a single lad had problems getting on the bus.

Our well-loved and esteemed King of Austria suspects the horses are stowed in the bottom of the trunk! That wasn't allowed to be filmed. His British counterpart does not like to show state secrets in public. Our king is a wise man - hooray!
