It has been a perfect way for me to get rest and recuperation while fantasizing about even maybe visiting a couple of jewelry stores in the future just to see some of these watches and fine jewels in person. Aside from my family, you kinda have given me something more to live for which right now, trust me is huge. So please know, your videos matter and for reasons bigger than even the Hope Diamond.

Peter is a professional jeweler who, despite his experience, is not afraid to say ''I don't know'' or ''I have no idea'' when asked a question under the spotlight. I know that some will take the opportunity to taunt him, but I just have more respect for him and his humility. The same thing said by someone else probably wouldn't pass. But coming from him, for some reason or another, I prefer his candor rather than a bag of BS just to look good.

That two tone Rolex Bluesy has the best blue sunburst dial in the business! This video isn’t even in the same ballpark as doing it justice. It’s unbelievable how that dial comes to life in the sun. It’s definitely a sunny t-shirt weather watch, rather than a daily driver because it does need light. But boy can it come to life!

I’m totally with Michael on the Richard Mille watches! It’s THE most overhyped, overpriced brand in the watch world hands down! They sell maybe 2000 dollar watches for 150K plus! It’s ridiculous. Oh and don’t forget to send your RM in every 18 months for service because otherwise they won’t be water resistant anymore and when you bring in the watch under warranty because surprise surprise you went swimming with it and water got in, but the watch is supposed to be water resistant to 200 meters so swimming shouldn’t be an issue, they will ask you whether you had it serviced because it says so in the booklet, but no one fucking told you that when you bought the watch for 180K, and the watch wasn’t serviced then they’ll repair it for you and they charge you an outrageous amount of money for it. That’s a true story. You can find it online. It would’ve cost RM next to nothing to put a new mom event and gaskets in that watch and they would’ve had a customer for life. At the very least they could’ve repaired it for him at cost, but they wanted to charge him fully. Needless to say, this was the last RM he ever bought and they will get free negative publicity from him for the rest of his life and all just over some petty loose change from RMs point of view.

RM make 3-5000 watches per year, and at the high end can take up to 1000 hours to assemble. At the top end salary for a watch maker, that's around $40,000 in labour hours. The markup is as significant as Michael was trying to point out.
