Hey guys welcome to todays video where I go through the absolute most secretive/rarest powerups that you can find across every single Super Mario Bros entry. Im having a lot of fun making these types of videos in the lead up to Super Mario Bros Wonder and I hope you subscribe as Ill be making tons of videos about that game!!!! Thanks yall!!

Maybe that’s an item for him? He also has different videos for “best power up in every game” but also “best item in every game”. Maybe for him power ups change the form of Mario where as item are other things that help Mario, but they don’t change his form (e.g. propeller block, yoshi?, boot)

I would argue that the Blue Shell is a rare powerful in NSMB since it cannot be obtained in levels except for red blocks and Hammer Bros (which all power ups bar Super Mushrooms and Stars do).

I love the blue shell. I’m sad they didn’t use it in any game after Nsmb ds

@@xkaruu5122 Such a diverse power up that clearly inspired the Penguin Suit. A difficult powerup that rewards those who dare to slide with the most some of the most exhilarating gameplay of the NSMB series.

The Rock Mushroom was also like the Blue Shell but in 3D.

Wait, what about the Lucky Bell in 3D World? I swear, I only ever saw it in like 2 or 3 levels, which is the the cat equivalent of the Statue Leaf in 3D Land

In SMB3 the boot is rare (if that counts as power-up), In NSMB the Blue Shell and the star are also rare powerups, In NSMB2 the Mega mushroom, the star and the Gold flower are rare, In SM3DW the Lucky Bell is rare, Idk anything else missing. Great Video!

Power off always the iconic in every Mario game, my most favorite power up of all would have to be. The ice flower, the cat suit and. The tenuki leaf and The fireflower And many more

NSMB2 The Mega Mushroom is actually in that game too... In two levels.

At the very least in the first one you could do a trick to have the mega mushroom in your power up slot letting you use it anywhere, 2 doesn't get that privilege

nobody mentioning the lucky bell from super mario 3d world? did everyone just forget about it or is it more common than i thought

Now that Wonder is out, from what I can see... Somehow, the Elephant Fruit is the rarest power-up based on what I've seen. I think the Bubble and Drill power-ups appeared more often than the Elephant Fruit (outside of those battle arena levels where every top-tier power-up appears infinitely).

The Hammer Bros. Suit in Mario 3 also protects you from the fireballs the Piranha Plants spit at you

Fun Fact about the Hammer Suit: One can kill Bowser with just three hits from the hammers.

In Super Mario Land 1-3 idk if you’d consider the lift block as a power up but I think that’s only in a stage or two

There's actually an invincibility power up in Super Mario Odessey that you need an amibo for, making it the rarest. Also the Cat Mario amibo works the same as Cat Peach
