The Center for Middle East Studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies presents CMES Conversations: Rashid Khalidi on the Failures of Palestinian Leadership, interviewed by Nader Hashemi.
Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University, sat down with Nader Hashemi, the director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, for a conversation on the failures of Palestinian leadership. The interview was conducted on October 25, 2013.
Professor Khalidi is the author of numerous books including "Brokers of Deceit: How the US Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East," "The Iron Cage: The Story of the Palestinian Struggle for Statehood," and "Sowing Crisis: The Cold War and American Dominance in the Middle East," and many more.
Nader Hashemi is the Director of the Center for Middle East Studies and co-editor (with CMES Associate Director, Danny Postel) of two books. The first is "The People Reloaded: The Green Movement and the Struggle for Iran's Future," and the second, "The Syria Dilemma."
