yea not really chrollo had to try he even lied to hisoka to get the upper hand he said he could use max 2 abilities from his book at the same time and actually used 3 he had to deceive hisoka to get the upper hand also hisoka got a way stronger after he died to he'll clap him now regardless

im just gonna copy my comment i already wrote here yeah i strongly disagree with chrollo and hisoka. chrollo needed a year of prep and the invention of 2 new techniques that permanantly hardent his conditions of his ability to kill hisoka while also being in an extremly favourable setting. hisoka willingly exeptet the circumstances to fight chrollo and put himself at a significant disadvantage. hisoka is more then likely at least equal or even more powerfull than chrollo.

Now, I disagree in the fact that Hisoka is stronger then Chrollo for a few reasons. If you give someone prep time who is known for plotting he is gonna do whatever he has to do to almost Guarantee a win also his narrative of him controlling his fate and all that crap as well. In a random encounter Chrollo probably has far to many abilities for Hisoka to account for this is the same man who 2v1 the top Zoldycks in the world in a random encounter one was strong enough to make Pitou even astonished

@jameskipp2690 Hisoka didn't really prep for the fight, whereas Chrollo did for like a year. Yes Chrollo destroyed him, but he still basically admitted to Hisoka that he was his toughest opponent since he had to use the most abilities to defeat him. If Hisoka and Chrollo just spawned in heavens arena and neither side was prepared for the fight, I think Hisoka wins a solid 7/10 times. Especially since Hisoka got a buff whereas Chrollo got weaker since he lost the abilities he needed to defeat Hisoka.

Hisoka is not his toughest opponent just because he used more nen abilities than any of his other opponents, Hisoka had the opportunity to prep for his fight but stupidly chose not to, in a random encounter chrollo would definitely win because he knows all of Hisoka abilities while Hisoka will not know the abilities of chrollo because he can use multiple techniques and change them at any moments. Also, I have to mention that if Chrollo wanted he could have made that fight in heaven arena way quicker by not explaining his abilities or by sneaking and killing him with his Benz knife. He also said in the black whale that the moment he sees Hisoka he will immediately kill and without the help of no phantom troupe member and he said those sentences before Shizuku and Bonolenov asked to team up with him to track hisoka this mean that Chrollo was confident in killing Hisoka alone without any prep and help from anybody the moment he see Hisoka and we know how chrollo his meticulous with his planning and chances of victories @@bomberdawesome

Leaving biases aside, he took a full year to prep and plan, that full year was to guarantee victory that's why he explained his abilities to Hisoka. A full year just to have the perfect opportunity to take down Hisoka is a testament to how strong Hisoka is already. Yes, having used the most abilities does automatically make him one of the toughest opponents he has faced, if not the toughest. The thing about Hisoka's abilities, is that they're super versatile, Chrollo knows his moveset Hisoka is super unpredictable and imaginative, that's what makes him a tough opponent. You took one statement from Chrollo, that he will kill Hisoka again if he sees him, and inflated it to no diff'ing him, you clearly are blinded by your fan bias. After post mortem nen Hisoka is already undeniably much more powerful, heck he can replace his squishy human limbs with texture surprise giving him a bigger plethora of uses, not to mention that new nen limb would be incredibly durable because of the power up. There's no way Chrollo wins against an amped Hisoka. There's a reason they didn't go after Kurapika, post mortem nen dramatically increases the users nen.

Chrollo need a lot of preparation get the skills to beat Hisoka when they clash at the heaven arena. Hisoka want too take all the spiders so Chrollo won't have any access to get their ability. Very smart from Hisoka I think the time they clash it is going to be different.

Chrollo is smart enough to use his technique in smart ways and gave hisoka a chance. Now hisoka is going against his dream of fighting the strongest by nerfing chrollo. He literally got mind broken from his death

He never acted like Hisoka was weak its just fact Hisoka was completely dominated in his fight against Chrollo. He also had time to prepare but stupidly chose to not do it , chrollo prevented him that he was sure to win with 100% chances , he even explained him all of his abilities and he still lost .

You can choose to see it that way but Chrollo is also the man that fought 2 top tier Zoldycks without fighting to kill and managed to survive more than once against the head of the clan. He's no push over either way. Hisoka actively allowed Chrollo the advantage of prep time and Chrollo used that to give himself an absolute victory instead of a normal one. It's not something that can be seen simply as "he wasn't sure he could win" but that he wanted to flex just as much as Hisoka did. He even explained the only abilities he would use throughout the fight even though he didn't have to limit himself and he even made a game out of the fight hisoka's always wanted. I don't see it as much as in Hisoka's favor as "7/10". Hisoka's overconfidence has gotten him hurt before like when he lost his arm to Kastro, or almost lost trying to counter Razors dodge balls, it also fits that he'd give chrollo prep time only for it to backfire. Now post-mortem hisoka is a different question, but to say he has any more of an advantage in a outright fight doesn't have much backing it.

@@Sylvastier I'd also like to point out that Silva and Zeno weren't really trying and right before they started getting serious, the hit was called off and they left. Also chrollo was the only one to recieve damage in that encounter. He only survived cause the hit was called off.

@@KLOTEROLEROTAR what you're calling them "getting serious", was the fact that Zeno was about to let himself die holding Chrollo in place so they both get hit by a full power Silva emission attack. Zoldycks always take their contracts seriously, Silva had no reason to hold back because chrollo survived a contract against him in the past. Plus they themselves outright admitted that Chrollo could've stood a better chance or even killed Zeno if he wasn't more focused on stealing their techniques instead of winning.
