Yet another example of why cages should be mandatory. He can put his stick and body in whatever position he needs to to block the hard pass/shot and not have to be damaged or looking away from the puck.

Yeah I dont understand why visors are still a thing. Is it a masculinity thing? Like how players used to get shit for earmuffs

@@jukeboxhero5 didn’t know about the ear muffs, but at least on the rec hockey training sessions and teams I’ve played for they have that attitude that they are hard, often spoke behind chipped teeth, busted lips and with some stitches at various places on their face. It’s sad that they are willing to put their face and potentially brain at risk because of keeping up appearances of being an Alpha with the boys.

They literally can wear a cage if they want to. They know the risk, if they don’t want to wear a full cage then it’s on them.

No. Full cages just makes players think they are invincible and that leads to bigger injuries. Now they still are aware of things and do play with some caution, but having a full face shield would take that element off.
