100% worth it. And my parents bought a couple raspberry bushes when they first moved into their house in 1995. They have been using a chainsaw to battle the raspberry forest they now have! It repays dividends.

We have them and love them. We gets tons of berries every year. BUT you really should mention that they're highly invasive, attract birds (which are beautiful but leave purple droppings that stain), have thorns (so keep little kids away) and that you have to be careful picking the berries so that you don't get nasty scratches. We put 1 plant, just one little stem, in our 3 foot x 12 foot garden, and 10 years later, the plants have taken over the whole garden and we have to weed them out of the yard to keep them from spreading. Plant them in a contained area, away from little children, and away from your patio.

And they taste so much better than the ones from the store. I miss having a raspberry bush!

I'd recommend not planting them directly in your garden but in a pot or smth, youre not getting rid of that again, same with blackberries, theyre there once and theyre never gonna leave- we ripped out our bushes 5 years ago and theres still new vines growing that we rip out regularly..
