I loved the interview with Patrick’s dad, and can’t wait to see your new streamlined versions. I think it’s crazy that because KZfaq changes a policy, they remove older content that was acceptable at the time. It seems they would “grandfather” those in. I think it’s because of the sponsors more than anything that don’t want that information available. I love your faith based videos when you do them and really enjoy the comments from like minded people of faith. It just feels wonderful to read them. Blessings as always and Shalom!

Last year my husband and I foraged a flower from a mullein and it was full of seeds. I saved the seeds and this year I started some plants. They did as you said in the starter pots. They just sat there and didn't really grow. The other day, I went ahead and planted a couple of the plugs, not really thinking they would grow, but I checked on them just a bit ago and they are already growing. I have now made 3 of the patchwork skirts. I have 2 that are shorter and then 1 longer one. My husband really loves the longer one. I used fabric from used thrift store shirts. I have another one that I have all the pieces cut, but I have not put it together yet. Thanks for sharing everything you do. See you next time.

You didn’t say anything in your video, but mullein is a biennial. It doesn’t flower until its second year of growth. It does grow here in Michigan like a weed and I studied on it when I had a plant grow in my garden one year. I have two down my driveway that will be flowering this year. I’m sure you knew about the plant, but your other readers may not know. Have a blessed day.

I do not care what people think about my faith and what I believe. I do not care if people do not agree with me on trying to use herbs and more in place of big pharma. I do not care if people like the way I dress or how I wear my hair. I DO care though if I have said anything that may have hurt someone and find it important that people understand this. So yes, there is a certain degree where I do care what people think and anyone who says they do not care what people think at all are lying to themselves and others. I am just as human as anyone else.

But I also have a full time job. I had to give up my soapmaking and aromatherapy because I just don't have the time. However, I can't even come close to accomplishing the amount of things you do! seriously think you have some kind of time turner like Hermione had in Harry Potter that allowed her to be in two classes at the same time....lol. A comment about the comments - I certainly don't know that this is the case, but "if it were me" and I put a comment similar to the woman you mentioned, and it was because I was in a bad mood, once I realized what I had done I would go in and delete my comment. Perhaps the woman in question was having a bad day or is going through a difficult time, in her comment sort of "took it out on you", then realized what she'd done and deleted it so as not to be rude. Can't imagine she'll read through your comments but just in case, to the woman in question, if you were/are going through a difficult time, I pray God's peace fill your heart, and His wisdom guide you day by day. Blessings.

I know you do not agree and it is the same reason why I pushed it away for 12 years. While I appreciate your prayers, please understand I approached this with a great amount of prayer, trusting the LORD and HIS leading and by simply reading what the Bible actually says rather than only trusting the teachings of any one person, like I once used to do. What I CAN attest to is the change it has made in both my life and especially my husband's. In our over 34 years of marriage, I have never seen him this on fire for the LORD and His word.

I would be interested to hear from someone with a freeze dryer, what happens if there's an outage while a load is being run?

Honestly Heidi, you are just going to have to do what other decent content creators are now doing, delete and ignore the bad comments. And if that person does it repeatedly, block them. People like that don't come to learn, they come to disrupt, be indigant and draw attention to themselves.
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead 11 күн бұрын
As I say often, I ignore and delete more bad comments than most would ever know and certainly far more than I ever mention, however, it is STILL important to me that those who may have taken something I said wrong understand my intentions were not to be rude to them, that is why I said what I said in this video. In August I will have been doing this for 8 years, I am not new to dealing with rude comments but I can still mess up with my wording or even misunderstand a person's intentions because I am human like anyone else so I just like to make sure I clear up any misunderstandings. I am far more concerned about hurting others than I am about them hurting me

I am pretty sure you only get a fraction of the rain we get. Most people who get 40"-60" annual rainfall think that is a lot of rain like I once did when living in Seattle area. Then I moved here where we get 120" and realized I did not really know what a lot of rain was. Mullein does not grow wild anywhere around here as a result
@deborahdean8867
@deborahdean8867 11 күн бұрын
@@RainCountryHomestead it varies, but pisgah forest is a temperate rainforest. And I've seen it grow in abundance on the parkway, the southern half of the parkway. I think pisgah gets something like 100 inches of rain a year , since the parkway cuts through pisgah too , I imagine it gets close. "A common metric to earn such a coveted classification is 2500mm (100”) of rainfall in an average year. Most of Transylvania county and some areas along the Blue Ridge Escarpment meet this criterion. Within rainforests, we would classify as a “subtropical” rainforest because we are above the Tropic of Cancer " Anyway mullein is great stuff.

My raspberries have started to flower, but we've been so dry I feel the plants are stressed and have decided not to harvest leaves this year.

Good morning❤ do you have any ideas to help reduce high A1C. They did that lab on my daughter last week and didn't even tell her so she wasn't fasting. Which being a Dr l don't deal with that ignorance. I told her not to pay for the bill and let them know it's because they should KNOW it's a fasting test and should Not have tested

Sorry, I am not one that uses acronyms or abbreviations much and am not a doctor or a nurse so I do not know what A1C means.

Hello Heidi, hope you and family are doing well ❤ just curious, the raspberry, blackberry and strawberry leaves.. do the leaves taste like the fruit when using them in tea? I've never tried it. Thank you 🙂
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead 11 күн бұрын
No, they do not though I had someone tell me that if you ferment them that they will take on the flavor of the fruit, I have not tried that to verify it though

I've two jars of apple-rhubarb vinegar establishing itself on my counter right now. I often go on walks around my pasture and have notice a lot of different plants and then last night I was reading Rosemary Gladstar's book on fire cider. I think I might go out when it dries some and pick some wild things to make fire cider. Do you make fire cider and, if so, what's your favorite vinegar to use? Part of me wonders if I could make a vinegar with fire cider ingredients and then use that vinegar to make fire cider....double dose?
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead 11 күн бұрын
I have not made fire cider in years and though I keep saying I will someday, and do a video on it, I just keep forgetting but yes, you can make vinegar from the same things used in the fire cider and use that to make a new batch though it would not double the dose. Favorite vinegar, please see this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hp-lZKde2q21gHk.html

Maybe you already did this, and I just need to look up the post, but do you recommend an herb to replace the caffeine in coffee? I gave it up after learning store bought has mold, fermeldeheid, even dirt and pesticides. So I sprinkled it around the garage to keep ants out.

First off, we ONLY drink organic coffee and yes, I have a coffee replacement blend and that is the video I had to take down and redo. It will publish in a few weeks. The main herbs used are Ashwagandha, Maca, and Cacao

I’ve already been picking blackberries and raspberries where I live. Is it too late to pick the leaves? I hate I didn’t think of it sooner. I may go to my grandmothers house and pick some of her muscadine and scuppernong leaves if it’s not too late.
@RainCountryHomestead

You an pick them now but they may be weaker in benefits as the plants are now putting their energy into the berries.

I have raspberry canes that appear to be biennial. The first year canes produce no fruit. The second year they produce fruit and then die off. Could the leaves be used from the first year canes?

Raspberry here is the black raspberry variety. Most of my acreage is left to mother nature. These are biennial as you described. Thing is, birds eat the fruit and reseed it in new places. I just make note where I see new canes to return on year 2 to harvest.

Catholic church is the only one that can be traced back to Jesus Christ, it's the only thrue church out there. The traditional Latin mass offers a lot of reverence, beauty and humble celebration of our Lord ⛪️

It is a sabbatical rest for my whole garden. The chickens are pretty happy because this means they get free range of all the herbs and other perennials this year and they love my comfrey, borage, and chicory, haha

I choose not to read emotions into texts..of course you can tell just by the words if they’re being rude or argumentative. I think all KZfaqrs are brave for putting yourselves out there. I could never do it so I appreciate all even if I don’t like everything..I just scroll on by some topics..have a blessed day!
