Mercy! Iranian American but thank you for your beautiful words. Turkish and Persian cultures are equally glorious, and centuries of exchanges (and yes even conflict lol) has forged a feeling of mutual respect between us. Turks understand what Iranians are fighting against, as they too are fighting against theocratic tyranny, albeit in a less overt form than the mullahs. We hope to share a great future with you as well. And I say this as someone who is predominantly Kurdish :)

اوسکول این حکومت نبود تهش عربستان بودیم. گاو شیرده! بعد از اون تو دو دهه گذشته افغانستان و عراق و سوریه و لیبی بودیم. حالم بهم میخوره که یکم مطالعه ندارید و یه مشت خزعبلات پوپولیستیو بلغور میکنید. این حکومت نبود نه تو علم و نه تکنولوژی و نه نظامی هیچ حرفی برای گفتن نداشتیم. برای بی ارزش ترین پروژه ها از مهندسین و مدیران خارجی استفاده میشد. بیشتر با جزئیات و رنکینگ بین المللی ایران بگم احتمالا کشش هضمشو نداری!

"She cannot use a Kurdish name in Iran"?! Who told you that? Her province's name has been KURDISTAN for eons. Even Kurds in Iraq and Turkey choose names same as those Iranians choose inside Iran. Kurds speak five languages (Sorani, Zaza, Kurmanji, X, Y), none of them is called "Kurdish" btw. All of them are linguistically close relatives to Persian. Many actors and actresses have Kurdish names. Ronak (Kurdish) Younessi (actress-even tho born in Tehran) or Varia (Kurdish) Qaffoori (famous Esteqlal soccer player being persecuted right now by the authorities for his support for the movement). We had once a national car called Zhian (Kurdish: Life; Persian: Vigor). Forcing yourself to write your personal biases in English can mislead unsuspecting readers. Here is the (Persian) for "Womanhood, Livelihood, Freedom" you wrote in Kurdish at the end: Zhen (Zan), Zhian (Zendegui), Eazadi (Auzadi).

@@artseymour have you heard of ethnic cleansing Sir?? Ethnic denial have been implemented in all those parts of Kurdistan which occupied by Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria. To know about Kurd, live like a Kurd for one day, and then you might realize what this mean. Zhina and all the other Kurds are forced to use another name instead of their mother languages names. That’s A Fact.

@@jaysaleh1406 Iranian Kurds are 20% of all Kurds, but their cultural and scientific outputs are greater than the other 80%, with internationally renowned talents. Do you know why? Because they live on their own cultural bedrock. They have 80 million target audiences. In Turkish and Arab countries they have no audiences except themselves. Kurds are anthropologically one of the oldest Iranic peoples. Once Iran is blessed with its genuine identity and prosperity, I am sure all Kurds would want to rejoin. You pulling out "ethnic cleansing" card on Iranians makes you sound like a 16 years old high school student submitting your summer break's composition assignment to a wrong teacher.

@@jaysaleh1406 Since your knowledge of history seems drenched in unkurdish ideology, I'll give you a lessen .. oh yes, free: The land where Kurds live outside of today's Iran was annexed to Ottomans after the famous Chaldoran Battle where Iran lost horribly, about 500 years ago. The reason Iran lost was due to an internal argument between the army and the politicians of the time. Ottomans were using the new cannon guns generously and Iranian solders were falling like flies. Iranians were split on holding onto an ancient principle of "never target an enemy you don't see" or go for tit for tat. It got too late. After Ottomans collapsed in 1915, British made up these new borders. Next time you want to parrot words like "occupied Kurdistan" review this history tidbit with your mentor comrade first.
