I'm also surprised to hear Pasco is more expensive than other brands -- in my experience (I also live in Japan), Pasco is the cheap stuff. But then, I'm comparing it with actual bakery bread, and store-baked bread from department store chains like Seiyu, so I guess it's not really a fair comparison. I guess it is more expensive than, say, 7-11 bread -- but I also find that kind of odd, thinking about it, as 7-11 bread is generally better in every regard. Pasco is basically last resort bread. When nothing else is available, and you just REALLY NEED BREAD NOW. Heheh.
